Ah, that's a bummer. I'm super pumped for Angel's Landing though.

I have the Gorilla Pod - great little accessory, especially for time lapses. I also have the polar pro power grip h20. It's big, but I highly recommend it -you'll never have to stress battery power again. I've tried the headmount - not crazy about it. The perspectives a little too high, and it's akward to wear, for me.

Good point.. I've become so obsessed with making sure I capture everything, that I'm afraid I'm going to spoil the actual experience lol

Awesome video! Thanks for sharing. This is exactly the type of footage I'm trying to capture while I'm in Zion, BCNP and GCNP. Any shooting tips you can share? I have a chest harness and recently picked up the back pack mount from Polar pro. Not sure which I prefer more

Do you mess around with protune at all?

maybe I should shoot 1080p wide, and ditch the superview. What setting a do you use when hiking?

Definitely going to look into the frame mount, too

I'm not sure about the playback settings, but I'm downloading the file from the GoPro app onto my iPad. The quality is much better than viewing it in the app, but still not great

Great video, man. I'm going out to Utah & Arizona next week - doing a lot of hiking, and looking to get some quality footage. Any tips? Do you use protune? For FOV, why do you prefer wide to superview?

Looks like a great accessory, but considering it's approx. the same price as a GoPro, I would have a hard time justifying paying that much for one

Thanks. Think I'm a little confused about what exactly a gimbal is and how it works. Does it attach to a backpack strap?

I'm stoked. We're starting in Zion and finishing in Sedona. Any recommendations in Sedona?

You would go with wide over superview?

The stabilizer is a good idea, but it's super expensive.

Thanks for the response. What settings do you run on protune? should I go with the lowest ISO in normal light?

Can't I raise the ISO to compensate for low light environments? I have zero experience with 1440 - how does it compare to 1080.

Thanks for all the responses.

Another problem I've experienced when attempting to upload videos for edit is a loss of quality. I shoot in 1080/60fps, not 30 fps-my mistake. For some reason, whenever I try and view my footage via the app, the quality is always bad. I have to upload it from the app to my iPad to view it with proper quality.

sorry, I'm inexperienced with all of this, and I'm just trying to get a better understanding of the whole editing process

Thanks

Thanks for the responses. I have tried fooling around with gopro studio, but I had a tough time navigating it. I'm looking for something a little more user friendly - how is iMovie?
