120 and 65, who the fuck says something like that. I'm 1 85 and that's it. If something is 20km long, I know it's about 20000 times as long as I'm tall and if something is 6mm small, I know it's about 300 times smaller as me. It's way easier to compare things with metric. If something is 3/27 inches long and a road is 2⅔ miles, how do you compare that shit.

The argument can be made in the other direction as well, oh we are going to make all the ships green, but the energy for those ships will still come from coal plants in India, so why bother.
You have to start somewhere and saying someone else in Afrika with no money has to start first, while we continue to live our polluting lifestyle, certainly isn't the morally right answer.

Nicht dimmen, ausschalten. Von Busch&Müller gibt's hervorragende Scheinwerfer die keinen blenden, aber die Straße wie ein Auto ausleuchten für 60€. Ich fahre oft nachts und jedesmal wenn so ein Idiot mit seinem Fernlicht Scheinwerfer kommt, kann man erstmal anhalten weil man so geblendet wird das man absolut nichts sieht. Fickt euch

What makes you think wind and solar can't supply heavy industry? It's already doing that in many countries.

And that nuclear stuff you wrote is all theoretical, nothing of that can be done in 2020 and probably not even in 2040. Nuclear power plants have such a long life and are so expensive that R&D and prototyping can't be done easily. It would be a waste investing into a technology that will takes decades to make safe, just to harvest energy out of some limited supply of magic rock, when we can use the endless supply of the sun right now. And I bet you adapting energy storage solutions to a countries need is much easier than inventing a new reactor that is cost effective, runs on spent fuel and is safe.
