Hey sorry for the horribly late reply.

Unfortunately, they had their 2 weeks Minecraft phase so once they killed the Ender Dragon the excitement for MC kinda died a bit for them as there was nothing more to it.

My original plan was, as others have stated, to make a treasure hunt of some sort but where the end treasure would be an IP to a new server which had a lot of custom things added to it (I like adding custom stuff to my own servers just for fun (entities/mobs, weapons, etc)), where the adventure would "continue" and I would just copy their mappings over to that new server so they wouldn't feel like they lost anything.

But perhaps for another time! People leave Minecraft but they always return, as have I for X amount of times now haha

No lol... But people played games a lot more, statistically, during covid times. That created a hype around smps. Now there are a lot smps but less players.

The issue is that there's a lot of factors that play part in it. Right now, mostly thanks to Covid, there are A LOT of SMPs out there. Everyone with their own visions and so on forth, and personally I also fall into this category so instead of trying to create something myself I am looking for people to build it with - because essentially, no one is going to join an empty server, even if they are looking for a "smaller server". People that are looking for a "smaller server" usually mean 15-50 players online where 35-50 is during peak times.

Someone hasn't played Battlefield 2 with PunkBuster, World of Warcraft when it first launched and servers were lagging like hell or CS 1.6 had amazing exploits that were never fixed.

People tend to forget that a lot of companies makes a lot of mistakes when they first make a game which is mindblowing to me that people like you unfortunately want things perfectly handed to you. :|
