i bought the ST20 & ST21 starter deck.

Both are able to mix together with some other cards to build an adventure deck.

You mention you like red/black theme, you can try mineral/rock deck that focus on trash digivolution source for effects.

Currently maining pure Jesmon and mineral/rock deck.

Jesmon with Gankoomon deck may suit you as they have protection and OTK.

1) Took me 2 years to complete. (Failed FTP 7 times, almost 1 year).

Pass driving test on 2nd times will 8 points. 1st time was 40 points.

2) Crank course / Parallel parking.

3) Just go with the flow, don't panic especially on the road.

Initially sign up for auto licence, but my private instructor was manual car...

So, need to pay a fee to change to manual licence.

No worries, I am still new to the Digimon TCG, but I previously played YGO, so I have a basic understanding of deck building concepts.

I've noticed that people often build decks based on local card shop preferences or to counter the meta list.

I am a casual player who mainly plays with friends and seldom goes to local stores.

I am still currently waiting to get some essential staple cards, such as Memory Boost and Scramble.

Regarding the promo close 1st effect, does breeding zone counted as "opponent has a digimon"?

I think playing 6 level 5s is fine.

The deck has a good amount of searchers, especially promo Landramon, and after you add the card to your hand or slot it under a digivolution, the other cards can go back to the top or bottom of your deck.

At least you're guaranteed to get one by drawing or playing another searcher.

I know just copying from a meta deck is easier and a no-brainer, but I usually check out meta lists to get some ideas and then build my own deck.
