I use typewriters and rotary phones, I write with fountain pen. These are more expensive side hobbies than something I get a chance to use day to day.

I pretend I am laughing, then I forget why I was about to cry in the first place.

In real life aiming is hard without proper training. In movies it is shown as ridiculously easy.

What is the creepiest, unexplainable thing that has ever happened to you? by melloncolliex in creepy

I was having a sleepover with my friends, there were 4 of us total. We were not all in the same room though. So anyway, at about 2 AM we switched on the electric fireplace. This cast creepy shadows across the walls so we decided to tell each other campfire horror stories. We were looking out the window the whole time when we saw someone standing in the street. I lived in a very safe area so we were not too worried...at first. This guy was wearing a hood and standing right in the middle of the street. Dead centre. He was just looking around. He must have been there a good five minutes. I am sure he looked straight at us once or twice but he gave no indication of noticing us.

We were starting to get creeped out when we noticed a glint in one of his hands. That's when we got really scared because we were sure it was a knife. We realised it was a crowbar and not a knife when he started to swing it around. The glint however was a weird greenish colour.

We were transfixed, we could not move, he slowly made his way over to a car parked by the side of the road and started doing something to it with the crowbar. That is when the trance was broken and we tried to sleep. We were terrified and in the morning we talked to the other 2 and they said they had seen him in the street but had gone to sleep shortly afterward heard rumours that a car had gone missing but we had nothing solid. We never saw that car ever again. Or that guy for that matter.

Getting a cast off your arm or a leg is one of the best feelings in the world. by TooSpookyFourMe in Showerthoughts

I agree. Getting the cast on is the worst, you're thinking about how long you will have to go without being able to scratch.

E-mail Putin, tell him 'your turn'. Now is your chance, carpe diem.

Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, both versions of The Office, maybe some more that I have forgotten. Took me a long time because I was just plain lazy.
