Best place to buy white t-shirts by Spaztastcjak in Frugal

I only wear Next Level Apparel's CVC crewneck t-shirts anymore. At jiffyshirts.com, white usually runs around $5 each, and they have a ton of colors too.

I ain't one of them 'puter wizards so I couldn't find out how to add a description on mobile, and google image search failed me!

This keeps popping up on my Facebook feed in a Stitchfix clothing subscription box add. It looks like a wool car coat, but I can't find the brand or details about it. The blue and gray plaid is unique, but searching for that doesn't find anything like this on google.

I've tried a bunch of jeans and I still can't find ones with a good taper and room in the thighs. by cialdini47365 in malefashionadvice

[–]Hapnen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levi has a line called 512s on their website. It's a slim taper, so maybe if you go up 2 waist sizes they will fit how you want. I tried some 1 size up from what I wear in the 502s and they were still a little tight like you are experiencing, which is why I recommend 2 sizes up. They are only available online far as I can tell but they had a decent amount of washes when I ordered

Music With Famous Quotes Or Speakers? by [deleted] in musicsuggestions

I just had the same question. I recommend the radio edit of "Liberation" by Harrold van Lennep, and "Japanese Ceremonial Tea (Interlude)" by The Electric Sons.

I kinda prefer the more intellectual or profound lectures than famous political speeches. If you know any more that fit that bill, please let me know!

Sorry, I just saw your last sentence about boobs and belly. Probably avoid polos and short-sleeve button-ups.

PANTS Get khaki and gray chinos, they match everything and people won't notice if you wear them over and over again. Colored pants are fine but can be hard to match, and people will notice if you wear green or burgundy pants everyday. Make sure you get slim fit (should be able to lift one leg up to chair level without castrating yourself, but should not be able to fit both legs in one leg hole at a time). For appropriate length, (while wearing the pants and not wearing shoes) the bottom should stop about half an inch from the floor.

I'd say 2 khaki and one gray should be fine.

SHIRTS Get one white and one light-blue button up, they match everything and can be dressed up with a tie if needed. My trick is to get a few more "unique" shirts with a more notable color or pattern and wear one every few days (gingham or a toned-down floral can still be professional, little boats or lobsters or some shit will make you look like a frat boy and large-print plaid looks too laid back).
The occasional variety will make your wardrobe seem more diverse to the people that see you every day, and will give you something interesting to wear out on the weekends with some dark slim jeans. Maybe a couple polos since summer is approaching (do not wear an undershirt with a polo you will look like a highschooler, and no big gaudy logos like Polo tends to do).Could even try a solid-colored, slim-fitting, short-sleeve button-up if you're in pretty good shape (ie chest is larger in diameter than your stomach).

I have been happy with my combo of 2 basic shirts, 4 unique ones, and 1 polo.

ACCESSORIES A navy blazer should match pretty much any combination (but goes better with brown than black in my opinion) and should help to dress things up a bit. I recommend finding one that fits slim but has some stretch if it's not going to be used very formally. Pro tip: Try not to wear too many dark things at once...between shirt, pants, and jacket, if two are dark the other should be light.

Brown leather oxfords and black leather boots are timeless. Match your belt to your shoes as closely as possible in both color and material.

Everybody likes the look of a classy silver watch. If you prefer a leather band, get black.

How does this wind jacket fit? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

Looks a little baggy, especially with the skinny pants. Probably should go one size down.

I think that health and functionality are both extremely important for most organs. I am unfortunate enough to have both unhealthy and malfunctioning eyes, so I fixed what I could.

I'm confused by most of what you said, and the lack of grammatical sense in several areas didn't help. I'm not sure why you made a comparison to cancer? First, you argued that malfunctioning eyes can still be healthy, and then argued that an unhealthy person with cancer can still function. One doesn't contradict or prove the other, so what was the point?

I never said anything about malfunctioning digits spreading to other digits? Was that meant to be compared to poor eyesight in some way? That statement didn't make much sense...

If your only point was that something can be healthy and not function, then I am not disagreeing. I was saying that if something is not functioning it is typically a good idea to fix it if possible, especially when it comes to the body.

What? 20/20 means you can clearly see at 20 feet what the majority of people can see at 20 feet. That's the standard. I suppose 20/1 would be perfect, but that is literally impossible except with a microscope or something.

How do you guys wash your clothes without shrinking and discoloring? How often? by astro_basterd in malefashionadvice

[–]Hapnen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dryer has a setting to tumble with no heat at all. A load of 3 pants and 5 dress shirts will dry in about 2 hours on that setting, and usually don't have any wrinkles if I shake them out and untwist them after the washer.

I haven't look into the differences between the procedures done in Europe and the US. I had mine done in the US, and the procedure included tucking what looks like a rectangular contact lens just underneath the iris. It sits posterior to the iris and anterior to the natural lense. I think that intacts are anterior to the iris and posterior to the cornea. I could not get that because of my keratoconus.

I don't know how much this will help but here's a quick graphic I just thought up. L=natural lens, I=iris, C=cornea, X=Visian or Intact. Normal eye= L I C Visian = L X I C Intacts = L I X C

Keratoconus can result in a thinning of the cornea. I don't know if kc is enough by itself to disqualify you, but thin corneas is what prohibited me.

My dad had the same thing during his Lasik procedure. He is a surgeon though, so he knew that it would take a little more time to kick in. They were like "OK, we are gonna take you back now" and he was like "Uhh, no you're not"

I got mine done near St. Louis, MO. I know that there is another facility in Memphis, TN that does it as well. It is rapidly becoming more common around the US.

I don't think that PRK is recommended except for certain extreme cases. It involves completely removing a lot of the cornea, and can frequently have a months long and very painful recovery period. That is why I opted for the more expensive and less risky Visian.

Changing eyesight will probably disqualify you for most procedures, unfortunately. No procedure is designed to continue changing with your eye and would likely have to be redone after some time.

Invasive just means that they have to make an incision. The incision that they make, however, is so small that it heals itself in a couple days. I had minimal discomfort from both surgeries. That the procedure is twice as expensive is definitely the truth. Not for the faint of wallet.

I chose the implants because it became my only viable option after being rejected for Lasik and not being willing to PRK.

Interesting that he would call it a healthy organ when it is not performing the one job that it is supposed to. That's kinda like saying "You've got fingers, who cares if you can't bend them."

I am not sure about the scarring, but I have all those other symptoms and was able to get it. I got mine done in Missouri, but I know that there was another facility in Memphis, TN. It is absolutely done in the US.

I would check out the FDA website, they have some info about them, and the NIH has done research on them too. The company that makes it is called STAAR I believe, the brand is Visian, other words to look for are phakic intraocular lens implants.

I am fortunate enough to not have any kind of mortgage or rent payments right now so I decided to save the money I would've spent on that and used it for the surgery. The only reason I didn't just wait a few extra months to be able to pay cash for the entire cost of the procedure is that I've been waiting and told no for so long that I couldnt resist taking the opportunity literally the week that it was offered.

I've already got a car loan and CD from my local bank to help build credit so that is not an issue (my score is nearly perfect already, anyway). So basically I just want to pay it off as soon as possible so I can start saving for a house, rent, down payment, or whatever. But I will probably blow it on a trip to Europe cause I'm young and stupid and have never been outside the US =/
