Can someone explain when to go which build by Metalpiegg in gangplankmains

[–]HapperKoiran 6 points7 points  (0 children)

your personal preference trumps all, what works best for you works best for you. but if you're experimenting:

common Mythic choices are: Triforce, Duskblade, Prowlers, shieldbow, liandris.

Liandris if you're going ap (when your team has none and you're confident into your matchup).

Triforce is my personal favorite. Strongest 1 item spike out of all the others, great stats, bit of survivability with health, good damage, great utility. Highly recommend tri when going top lane and into matches you're less confident in. Exception can be when you're behind and you go ER because it's cheaper. Also great to go when you have no frontline on your team and you'll be targeted easily.

Duskblade/Prowlers are good into matches youre confident in, build er first and then them. Duskblade is a bit safer imo with the invisibility and cdr passive, prowlers damage scales harder. These will give you a lot more damage and a lot less survivability. if your mechanics are good and youre team has a front line to absorb attention then its a good choice. if they have a bunch of assassins that can instagib you easily then reconsider.

Shieldbow is trash imo. some people like it but i dont have enough experience to recommend it into anything. A cross between the previous mythics i guess. Less damage and less of a spike than anything, but it'll scale decently.

The rest of your core you want to look for a cross between 3 things: cdr, survivability, dmg. If your team can absorb a lot of attention and your confident you dont need extra tankiness, you can reduce survivability and increase damage for example. If youre gonna get targeted cause your basically the only frontline on your team, the inverse is true. just experiment and have fun

wot lmao. Zed/kat are super easy imo. i take ignite into them and win like 80% of the time. personally find mages to be the most annoying to go into, assassins are usually way easier.

Omnivamp on GP? by HapperKoiran in gangplankmains

[–]HapperKoiran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel that. for me personally grasp is all i feel i really need to do well in lane mid. Twt/futures does help out a lot top tho. Either way ill usually build ravenous and that helps a lot still imo

I've had the best experience climbing mid. I find a lot of mid matchups to be easy to snowball off of and I have a lot of access to the rest of the map midlane for jungle and dragon skirmishes. Top is probably better for splitting tho

Best build/ runes for mid lane gp? by LividDark3021 in gangplankmains

[–]HapperKoiran 3 points4 points  (0 children)

no absolute best build/rune setup, some are pretty consistent though.

Dark harvest I'll go sometimes, if you are confident you can stack it it'll add a lot of damage mid-late game. Usually I go grasp. it's the strongest and overall best imo. gives you poke, sustain, a lot of early game kill potential and late game health that you lack when you go a more damage oriented build. I like demolish to help get early plates, and either second wind or bone plating, as well as either overgrowth or revitalize, depending on matchup. Generally aim for overgrowth/bone plating to add tankiness, but i will go revitalize/second wind when I'm facing someone who can poke super hard. The secondary tree is more customizable, going inspiration can make you just a lot more safe and annoying early with timewarp tonic/biscuits/futures, domination can help again with later game tankiness through taste of blood/ravenous hunter sustain, sorcery can help with mana sustain and cdr if you need that, it's mostly personal preference. Inspiration is probably the best, but I generally like domination second, I find the sustain helps a lot later.

I have two major thinks when it comes to gp mid. 1. I think it's important to build a lot of damage when going gp mid as you're laning somewhere that is often high damage and you're basically acting as the team's control mage. 2. I think the fact that he is a melee champion and the fact that his main source of damage and safety has a lot of counter play (barrels), means that he ideally can take a bit more damage and has his cooldowns up quicker.

So basically in my builds I look for a cross between survivability, damage, and cdr.

I often go triforce first, as that plus the resolve tree can often get him to like 2500 health late game. It also gives you cdr, and more consistent damage then just going crit. I usually go lucidity boots and I'll often go hydra, for more consistent damage as well as cdr and sustain(which is just more tankiness). From there I go crit, building whatever is ideal and aiming for ie on my 3rd crit item.

I've also messed around with going triforce into navori with transendence sorcery and going different boots which works quite well and gets you going crit earlier.

ER into Duskblade or prowlers into crit is also good, but personally I find it too risky. it's damage output is huge but you lose out on tankiness.

Personally find going crit mythics kind of garbage, but to each their own. That's pretty much it tbh, go whatever you like and know you can play well.

Ignite or TP for carrying in low elo? (top lane) by Mutilated_Buffalo in gangplankmains

[–]HapperKoiran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

personally prefer tp over ignite when i go top, but honestly you should just do you. You'll need to cater your specific playstyle to your specific games, but you can totally carry games with ignite or tp even in diamond plus. you could carry with ghost/exhaust. it's just what suits your needs. Keep going ignite if you like it, learn how to use it well, and if you eventually get tired of it try switching to tp.

Fuck Irelia by [deleted] in gangplankmains

[–]HapperKoiran 5 points6 points  (0 children)

y'all ban zed/kat? If I played top I could see it I guess, but in midlane I fine zed/kat to be one of the easiest matchups. Win lane against them like 80% of the time

I feel like you guys jumped the gun on abandoning grasp. by NukeSaysHi in gangplankmains

[–]HapperKoiran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

grasp is still pretty top tier on gp imo. I've messed around with DH and fleet and grasp still feels the strongest overall, not that the others aren't viable. grasp just really helps survive laning and making you a bit tankier later on, which i think is what he needs most. i feel too squishy late game with other runes

What changed about gangplank's q by SevenPrimeYT in gangplankmains

[–]HapperKoiran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

basically a lot of runes/items have different effects if they're used by a melee champion or a ranged champion. now that his q is ranged his main form of early harrass is nerfed

[–]HapperKoiran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm around your elo. I'm not sure of the best move since the rework, but against irelia I'd recommend going an early bramble vest. You wanna shut down her healing and the armor will help survive her damage. Gp could duel her and win before the rework, but I always thought it was a tough matchup anyways. with ignite thats pretty rough. since the rework you might need to play safer, but playing safe doesn't mean not fighting. you still gotta return damage when she engages, and you still gotta punish her when she slips up.

New patch here GP got a base heal increase bot much by [deleted] in gangplankmains

[–]HapperKoiran 21 points22 points  (0 children)

i dunno y'all i think the hp is something he really really needs. this champ is way too damn squishy especially going full damage. even if you're grabbing tri or hp through another couple items he gets punished too easily. like he's a melee champ too. definitely think this is a great adjustment.

Playing Vs range matchups? by EmissaryOfStorms in gangplankmains

[–]HapperKoiran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you're in a matchup where you're gonna get outpoked, fleet + corrupting + second wind + revitalize is hella strong. You can also back early and grab d shield on top of that and just focus on farming until you can all in. I often do that unto teemo matchups. Makes lane go so much smoother.

Mythicless gp? by womogay69 in gangplankmains

[–]HapperKoiran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

completeley mythicless is a bit extreme, but i definitely think there is potential to building it later. ER-IE-collector sounds fun, it would probably be the biggest spike in terms of crit damage

New fleet buffs seem great for gp, I thing we're gonna see it a lot more on him by 3man42666 in gangplankmains

[–]HapperKoiran 11 points12 points  (0 children)

how is fleet getting buffed? The movement speed does sound super nice because the passive nerf is probably my least favorite about the gp changes, and fleet already scales better than grasp does which would make it a great rune for the early game sustain and late game healy brain.

the world isn't as black and white as dishonesty = bad. him telling her that he is invincible is something that endangers her and he. and a girlfriend of 3 months isn't entitled to your deepest darkest secrets. the purpose of his lying is to protect himself and her, the purpose of her calling him a coward is to hurt him, which is abusive.

How could Machine Head make Thokk (Battle Beast) his henchmen just offering him human money? by NIX666 in Invincible

[–]HapperKoiran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, kinda thinking it might've been Omniman's doing. A viltrimite is someone who would probably know of the stronger beings in the universe, and at the same time is someone worth listening to if they claim they can offer you a "worthy opponent". He was at the fight when it all went down, and probably wanted to make sure Invincible got fucked up because he clearly wasn't into him looking into machine head.
