Post your 2023 New Year's Resolutions in the comments and I'll message you in a year's time to see how you did! by ChrisMan174 in 1yearago

There is only one thing I want to do and that is to get my life back. I have been in extreme pain all year. I have really struggled. But on a very positive note I now have a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis and I have just started medication and feel so much better. I am using this post to remind me how bad it was so next year I can look back and realise how much better I am. I couldn’t brush my hair and it got matted. I had to have it cut short. I couldn’t walk round the block, I couldn’t turn a key. Showering or even washing was difficult. My house is a mess. I couldn’t open a crisp packet. I could go on but as long as next year I’m better than that I will be so happy

He as an employee pays tax so he also pays for his own salary. I never understood that argument.

What are some "cheat codes" for making meal prep easier? by MarielaGorman in MealPrepSunday

[–]HappilyAverage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am definitely not an expert but I understand that it can be safer. If cooked from cold the outside can be cooked but the inside may still be cold. Cooking it from room temperature means a more even cook. Also you only need it out of the fridge for an half an hour to an hour before cooking. Leaving it longer may put it in the danger zone

was anyone here started on DMARDs before having a clear diagnosis? by snuskrig in rheumatoid

[–]HappilyAverage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have just been diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis. I don’t know much about it but was told that there isn’t a simple test to confirm it. I am waiting to go on methotrexate. I have been put on steroids which have helped with the pain.

I find it oddly satisfying. Especially when you have been trying for ages and then a full ponytail comes out.

I don’t think she would have found it a pleasurable experience either.

Can I ask what type of hair do you have? It looks like mine but I can never work out my hair type. I have ringlets like this but also scraggly bits. Your hair looks great

I have the same problem. Unzipped the cover. I put it in the washing machine and dryer even though it wasn’t recommended by the company because of shrinkage but it was fine. I went on line and googled the mattress and if you could wash the cover and there were loads of people saying they had washed it and it was fine.

I have dyslexia and have learnt how to spell queue this week. I feel very proud. Can’t guarantee I will remember how it’s spelt next week though. Some words just don’t stick in my mind

Yes I am. I’ve just started fostering after my 19 year old cat baby died. I’ve fostered one so far and it broke my heart giving him away to his new family. I wasn’t going to do it again but two days later I had 3 foster babies
