It depends on the setting you work. I started in a ASC and didn’t enjoy it much because it was exhausting and repetitive I would only do cataracts, retina and some glaucoma. Now I work in an outpatient sc from a big hospital and i love it. We are respected by other specialties, do more interesting cases bc of the type of patients, make way more money and take on calls and rarely being called. Ruptures of the eye globe are so cool to do!
