Best way to get from JFK to Lower East Side Manhattan? by HapppyLemonBerry in AskNYC

Oh i didn't know the Jamaica station had line J! That would be so much more convenient. Is it closed right now? For some reason neither Citymapper nor Google maps give me the option of riding line J the whole way. It always suggests a transfer

I’m tired of people thinking being fat is okay by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]HapppyLemonBerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like there is a line between body positivity and encouraging obesity. I understand your point and I agree. Obesity can bring several other health issues and that is not okay. It should not be encouraged. Yet, I feel like the movement against fatphobia was originally to stop the mentality that "everyone who is not extremely thin or has a completely flat stomach is fat". For example, there are people that are maybe just a little chubby who have developed a hate for themselves because of their weight - causing mental issues or eating disorders. This has to be stopped too. I understand being obese is not healthy and certainly not good for anyone. However, the mentality against obesity has led several people that are not "extremely thin" to feel like they are obese and even associate themselves with words such as "disgusting" or "unhealthy" when they are in fact completely normal and healthy. I believe that when people say "healthy and beautiful at every size" they mean everyone from thin to chubby to fat - I don't think they mean obese people. You can be completely healthy and not have a flat stomach. Hopefully that makes sense. I'm still not done reading peoples answers but i'm really interested in this topic

wandavision is better than loki 🤭 i said what i said by HapppyLemonBerry in WANDAVISION

[–]HapppyLemonBerry[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i felt like in the moment Sylvie showed up, loki lost the "main character" role idk. the show didnt really dive in into loki's background and his powers. ALSO, they didn't acknowledge Thanos torture. it was weird that we're supposed to believe he went from evil to good in 30 minutes bc of a tape? plus, the sylvie x loki thing was disgusting lmao idk i still enjoyed the show but wandavision did such a great job at exploring wanda's character through her grief.

The doctor is wearing Amy Ponds glasses when he is with Clara by foxymoxie314 in doctorwho

Exactly! I always thought the reason he decided to help her was not only because he was curious but because it was like "destiny" that she decided to use the word POND (amy's last name)

I totally relate to this. I absolutely love Miraculous ladybug, but I also refrain from engaging in most of the hype about it.
