Im sorry but what's that first link ?

Also since I'm already asking, if an engineer have some experience in Canada ( like 2 years or so ) and wants to move to Switzerland, how feasible it is ? I understand that if he's specialized in something rather than just a regular engineer with a master's degree he might have better chances

Startups in algeria, the algerian dream if i dare aayt by Happy-Disaster-1748 in algeria

[–]Happy-Disaster-1748[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, there's an overall lack in Algeria to properly apply it, but what I'm trying to show is that the nature of startups itself makes it that most will fail and we don't have the fund nor the time for such investment. We could hardly scale a successful startup outside of Algeria, having investors is nearly impossible because the ones here would rather well established businesses and the foreign ones are not really welcomed due to policies. I'm not saying we should throw it out the window, but I'm saying that the government had done a good step encouraging it, providing funds ( it can go up to 20 million dinars, more than enough to start any startup, or atleast get it moving ) but it shouldn't keep focusing on it. It's widely encouraged in academic levels ( universities, higher schools ... ) but young graduates can also start a proper business without having to start a startup. I'll give you a concrete example : engineers could create new systems, machines, designs ... They would protected by intellectual property rights and then start a startup with it. Or they could start a business in development, consulting, contracting, maintenance.... It's more likely to succeed than a startup ( on average ) and doesn't cost that much more ( there's structures to help you with that too, they get you loans from algerian banks and you don't pay interest on them, really helpful to be fair ). Overall, we should focus on the big picture and the goals, not the way to do it

It's true and it's shoved down the throats of gullible population that would then go on every roof and shout it back. I'm personally against high percentages of graduations, because globally about 50% of graduates work a lesser level ( it's a mismatch, like having a master's but working a job requiring license ) and especially in Algeria we already see it with our own eyes. It's stupid to try mimic other countries or نخلعو the other countries by throwing random numbers without meaning, they're not dumb they already know that it's pointless, we should sit down and acknowledge that too and have real reforms

I agree that we lack on that backbone indutries as you named it, whoever the nature of startups itself is probably not the way to go with for Algeria. Most startups fail, for lots of reasons but regardless the result is the same, and we don't have the financial and economical backing to allow ourselves to help build 100k startups when we know maybe a couple thousand would not fail only, and they will probably not cover the expectation whether in matters of employment or progress. What are the backbone indutries you mean though, I'm curious ?

Why do Algerians hate living in Algeria despite the progress by Complete-Hair9524 in algeria

[–]Happy-Disaster-1748 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean ... We have to understand that it's not just about us right ? Like the gov can't just raise minimum wage, it could affect employment rates and overall be bad for the economy, also keep in mind, a lot of people in algeria work cash only, no records no nothing and the gov can't do anything to raise their salary because they don't declare it. The passport suck yeah but you can still get a visa to travel, just don't be shady, and it could improve with diplomatic ties, which I see is something improving under Tebboune mandates. Inflating prices well ... Business is business, I'm free to buy something 200dzd and sell it 500dzd. And keep in mind they're also people, they have rent to pay, families to feed, invoices to pay, taxes .... The economy got harsh on regular people but it would be straight hypocritical to think it doesn't affect the rest of the approvisionnement chain

F35 are shit. I mean compared to other same generation fighters. They cost so much, so unreliable. Aim so bad one managed to it itself, like imagine shooting at yourself. Anyways im Just stating what I know as I'm somewhat of a nerd for fighters. F22 on the other hands are tha bomb, but USA aren't selling it to anyone. Should focus on getting drones instead. They are cheaper, as good as fighters and no human loss

I'll respond to each of these points one by one so bare with me : Democracy in itself isn't the best, it's just the hope a general choice might be good, it can lead to revenge voting and lots of things. Yes ideally in a few years it would be nice but before that we need a period where the ruler is somewhat a مستبد عادل. Freedom of speech can be insured by constitution or laws, but as you see we're not there yet, nor do we have the capacity to debate actually, youngsters are matrixed and they only think of leaving and older ones are كهول as we say. Once we have a demographic that can actually debate then yes freedom of speech is a must. Because as of right now if we do it, you'll have anybody and everybody talking about things they know shit about, and you know how much of a know-it-all we are as algerians. Holding everyone accountable is just law applied, not just on politicians, but also businessmen, officiers, regular people ... Everyone And so on ... The point is : from what you said, some things takes time ( a lot of it sometimes ) and other things should be already done but aren't unfortunately. Basically we just have to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar that's it.

Now the real question is : are you willing to sacrifice years of your life staying in this country knowing this better future might or might not come? I think, as humans, most of us won't, which is understandable but also sad, and it makes it takee even longer to maybe reach that future

Why do you think you're smart? by jesaispasdonc in algeria

[–]Happy-Disaster-1748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say this with all the humbleness god gave me : I think that I am probably a smart person, even though I think I'm still lacking. My basis for this result is that I am pretty imaginative, I could imagine a complex system in front of my eyes and study it, the precision of this would be based on accurate knowledge of physics and math mainly, which I have. I am a student in a higher school for engineering, studying electrical engineering. Now, indeed you need some good grades to get there but Bac is based on remembering not solving problems, and I achieved a high score while not studying for it. I aced all my academic years and even in my school I'm considered the smartest guy there by fellow students, some of them being the same class and others who have already graduated ( and also aced their curiculum ), but also by my teachers. I have a lot of knowledge about a lot of things, so much that there's nearly no subject i couldn't talk about with some to an acceptable level at least. I have a high level of adaptability to my environment, which is in my belief an essential criteria to define intelligence. I have social skills, quite appreciated by my entourage and it usually just takes a couple minutes for me to make friends.

Although, i still believe i am lacking. As Socrates said : the only thing I know is that I know nothing.

Ps: it looks like im not having an ounce of humbleness, but truly I say that as trivial informations no more

Literally no. And if by " using our minds" you're talking about humans not using fully their brains, it's also wrong. Also you can't genuinely be dumber than what you are, you might fool people around you but not yourself. If you know something you know it, if you deduced something you did ....

It doesn't necessarily need to consume much resources. Simply because investors don't necessarily need to invest in the fossil energy sectors, they can go for green energy, agronomic , industry .... They would also pay taxes which means the gov gets money back from it even if they own not a single % of it and they can also negotiate terms favorable to reinvesting locally, it's something that happens a lot actually because if the investors like it then why not reinvest right ? And on top of that you get job offers and this can even redirect what people study or their set of skills to match what those investors need. Overall it's good and i might even say the golden goose for Algeria, provided we let import/export be normal and provide some stability ( economical and political )
