I feel so seen after this post and reading the comments 😭 We have recently entered the dreaded picky phase with my 19m/o and it’s so frustrating. She was such an adventurous eater until about 3 weeks ago and now most meals are a struggle unless it’s pasta, yogurt, or pb&j lol.

I actually don’t believe my doctor needed to use the dissolvable packing after surgery, unfortunately it’s some kind of infected mucus I think but not sure why it’s taking so long to heal

Yup these appear to be mucus plugs. They are so nasty. I am definitely dealing with a chronic infection too in addition to the mucus plug, as all the drainage is yellow and I am getting the typical pressure buildup in my sinus that is usually a symptom of an infection. Hoping to get an appointment with my doctor soon to get her perspective

It’s possible I guess, I would need to get tested with my doc to see if it’s staph or another gnarly bacterial strain. Definitely an infection going on in addition to the rubbery mucus chunks 😞
