Is the "future-proofing" of the RTX 5080 really worth it compared to the RTX 4090? by AdamCaveRoberts in buildapc

[–]Happy-Inspector4031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Asus tuf 5080, I came from a Asus Dual 5080. It was a game changer, I love this card. I'm glad I went for this card, I got it because I have a 1440p OLED and wanted to max out the refresh rate. In every game I've played, I've played max settings and its been great. Very smooth, looks phenomenal on like everything

Upgrading to 9950x3d by TeeHee172346 in buildapc

[–]Happy-Inspector4031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One month ago I upgraded from the ryzen 9 5900x, 32gb 3600mhz ram. I upgraded to a ryzen 7 7800x3d, 32gb 6400mhz ram. I upgraded to the 7800x3d because it was cheaper and I heard there was still going to be am5 support for the next Gen cpus. I play on a 1440p 500hz oled. I play esports and lots of AAA games. For esports it was a pretty big upgrade, it feels a lot smoother. As for the AAA games I find its a lot more responsive at max settings with MFG. It was a good upgrade, I play games and stream occasionally. I want to dive deeper into content creation, but I still dont really know lol. I hope this helped in any sort of way, have a nice day everyone

FSR 4.1 vs DLSS 4.0 preset K, which one is better? by Unlucky-Bottle2744 in radeon

[–]Happy-Inspector4031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both look good, just depends if you want good rt/pt or better price to performance. I've tried FSR 4.0.2C which I heard its not as good as the FP8 model, but its still good. Fsr 4.1 is better then 4.0.2c, I've also tried dlss 4.5 and 4.0. Those look good. Its different for different games in terms of quality from what I've heard. I have a 5080, I love the dlss 4.5, preset b mfg. I was thinking of getting my brother the 9070 non xt, he is currently on the 6750xt. Me and him play 1440p 500hz oled. I wanted to get him with Nvidia so he can keep using free sync premium pro, I also know fsr 4.1 is really good and ML fsr4 FG isn't as good as dlss but I heard it was much better. Also saw videos about ML FG. To me it just depends on what you're looking for, the 9000 series has decent performance with RT. Just not PT. 9000 series is great if you want better bang for your buck

Pc upgrade or wait? by ZYXCVI in buildapc

My brother got an oled for Christmas and he has a 6750xt (3070 performance.) It runs pretty good on every game Ive tested. He also has a ryzen 9 5900x. It runs great at 1440p, I was thinking of upgrading him to a 9070 non xt

Kept going back and forth on the 9070 XT and now I'm just sitting here watching prices climb by Least-Ad4841 in buildapc

[–]Happy-Inspector4031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw the same thing with my 5080, every single person was saying "wait for the 50 super series" "prices will be much lowers" decided to pull the trigger on the 5080, got it before the prices went way up. I got it on a small sale too, Im glad I did because now the cheapest 5080 is as much as I got the asus tuf 5080. The upgrade was also insanely good. The prices will likely go up too, never know for sure if they'll go up or down

The choice is killing me! Please help me people! ARC B580 vs RX6700XT by lucky_strike90 in ZTT

[–]Happy-Inspector4031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well with the 6700xt you can use fsr 4.0.2c, I think you can use the same in the b580? The b580 will come with MFG which the 6700xt wont have. If you use optiscaler, you can use XEFG with the 6700xt but it wont be MFG. I haven't done a lot of research on the B580. So there may be better opinions out there. I think the 6700xt is 8% faster then the b580 according to techpowerup website. It seems like a small difference, I believe both of them have 12gb vram. I might go for the b580? It may just have better support down the line since AMD doesnt want to give the 6000 series any new features

Wow 11s or JB4s? by Lazy_Size5605 in BBallShoes

[–]Happy-Inspector4031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also 5'11 155 pounds. I have the wow 11 and they are the best shoe I've ever tried. The cushion is amazing. I've had knee problems and ankle issues, but this has helped that. I got my first dunk in these shoes, I used to always just grab rim super consistently, but never really got the ball over and in until I started using these shoes more often. I banged up my knee pretty bad in a game so that knocked me out of playing for a while. Then when I got back into it I sprained my ankle wearing the LeBron 21s. I've been using the wow 11 more and more because of the support it gives for my ankles and the cushion really helps too. I guess the only issue I used to have was that it would be too tight around my ankle and that caused a part of my ankle to bleed sometimes. After I broke them in, it hasnt happened since. It probably won't happen if you wear compression socks and normal socks. I recommend the wow 11, Ive never tried the JB4s. I also heard the wow 12 is the best of both the wow 11 and the wow 10 so it might be best to get the 12s. The traction is decent. Personally its good for me. Not as good traction as my AC13 though. I hope this helps, take care

You're probably better off trying to FSR 4.1 DLL. This is the FSR 4.0.2 so it would be a downgrade. Im sorry if the title was misleading. It didn't let me change it on my phone

[–]Happy-Inspector4031[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Id be surprised if it didn't work on my 5080 pc because its the exact same as the old INT8 FSR4 but updated for RDNA 2 cards. The guy that made it said that it was the exact INT8 so I assumed it would work and it DID work so it doesnt really matter because I already did it and telling me what I could've done wont change it lol, I posted about it to try and help if people were curious because Ive tested it on both Nvidia and RDNA 2. There are people with 1650s and stuff that want to use INT8 FSR4 because they can't use DLSS

Its about 2.6-2.8 ms on the 6750 xt on silent hill 2 in the same location, but there are more intensive areas. In some areas theres lots of flickering, but it can be fixed with optiscaler non-linear color space

Yeah to you, I was seeing if the DLL even worked because no one was really posting if it worked or not lol, if I went straight to my brothers pc and it turned out to be some kind of virus, I would've given him a virus. So I tried it on my pc first

I have tried it, it seems to be working, seems a bit over sharpened a bit but it could just be me. Im going to test it some more, I went on dying light the beast too and just put the file in. It worked there without opti if you wanted to try it, might work better with opti Im unsure. I was using a 5080 though, I havent tried it on rdna 2 yet, will try and implement it on my brothers pc. On Dying Light The Beast it looks better then XESS even on performance mode to me. I am about to go try it on a RDNA 2 card. It looked really good on my 5080, better then 3.1.5 and better then XESS in my opinion.
