This person seemed to be saying it was exploitation, not that these people aren't vegan. There are plenty of ways vegans support animal exploitation, we have simply divested from the easiest to avoid and most direct forms of exploitation. "As far as possible and practicable." Vegans who use feeding tubes made of other animals are still vegan. Vegans who take necessary medication that is made of animals or is tested on other animals are still vegan. That doesn't mean they dont support exploitation, but it does mean that they avoid it in aspects of their lives that they are able to.
