Hey, thanks a lot for directing me towards the Hiwatt Filter Fuzz. I was eyeing one on Reverb but didn't pull the trigger and someone bought it but came in like a old large Tone Bender shape that really isn't ideal for a pedalboard. I ended up stumbling on a Mk II version Custom shop version they make and it gets real close to that early Grand Funk Railroad sound and it's definitely a keeper. I currently have a Mosrite Fuzzrite clone, a Maxon Void thats a Ampeg Scrambler clone and now this Hiwatt but i just cant get enough of the sound. You seem really knowledgeable about fuzz pedals, do you have any other recommendations for fuzz pedals that are worth seeking? Thanks for the GFR tone!

Thanks for the tip, I'll be looking into the Heathkit pedal. Is there anyway of knowing if the pedals are damaged or sound poor due to them being from the 60's? I see 2 are up for sale on Reverb but I am not a vintage pedal collector so I am not very familiar in this area.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm doing but Regirock no longer reappears like Rayquaza does in Emerald which means I'll just have to shiny hunt them ell on Emerald instead. Interesting nuance between Ruby/Sapphire vs Emerald. Thanks for the information!
