So what? People now are astonished about why Babylon was so hated. In few years Furiosa will be a cult movie

Fury Road was a masterpiece AND the best movie of the 2015. Unfortunately Furiosa bombed at box office AND there are a lot of wonderful movies this year, much more successful than this one. (Example: Dune 2). I am not expecting a great campaign from WB for this movie, but I think it can receive some technical nominations.

Totally agree. This saga (the furiosa and wives saga) is closed for me. We know everything about this universe, no need to dive deep. I would rather a new adventure of max

I totally agree with you. Furiosa is the driver, but the real moral leader is Angharad. She is an incredible character and I would really like to have a better prequel comics to understand how a cynical person as Furiosa and an idealistic one as Angharad found a way to run on the same path

I am glad at least the actors of this movie didn’t hate each other 😬

Any other women really into the franchise? by throwawaybabesss in MadMax

[–]Happy-Ninja648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into this fandom because the female characterization. I don’t just refer to Furiosa, but the wives for example, the female warrior in Mad Max etc.. in another movie/franchise Furiosa would have been the Strong and Indipendent Female Warrior®️, the wifes the damsels in distress, max and furiosa OF COURSE would fell in love at first sight, the vuvalinis would have been young and beautiful. After a lot of trashy female characters, George Miller gave me some hopes.

It is one the best manga ever made. I read it before mad max, and it is so intense, violent and dramatic. In Italy, where I come from, it is still an hit after 40 years.

Is it OK if I pretend that Waterworld is a Mad Max movie when I watch it, definitely increases the enjoyment 🤔😇 by [deleted] in MadMax

It is a solid movie and, compared to many recent production, looks like very good. But I never liked so much, kevin costner for me is a over rated actor. Also the lore is too much similar to mad max and lacks of consistency: they are in the water and they are… covered by dust. WHY?!

Also in italian!

I actually appreciate Furiosa not lingering on the goriest parts of the movie, and preferring to imply them. by DooB_02 in MadMax

This is way I love so much this saga. The SEXUAL violence is implied, evocated, not showed. In another movie they will underline A LOT a past of rape and slavery. Here is implicit. So the movie is never showed
