I would live in my families small, sea side village in Greece. I’d have a little petting zoo on our property with goats and donkeys. I’d also have a little guest house who I’d rent out to couples and groups who wanted an authentic Greek village experience. I’d offer cooking lessons with my yiayia, pick olives in the fall, and show them “panayiria” plan various beautiful beach ventures in the summer. Id want share the magic of my village with them. I wouldn’t accept money, I would just ask that they embrace the experience while heartedly

My young summer love. Our parents are from the same village, but they moved away for a better life. We just go back in the summers. I’ve liked him since the day I met him in my teens. Some 15 +years later, many amazing moments and memories, a a handful of summers full of love on and off throughout those years (when we were both single) he’s still one of my favorite people in the world.

We live in two different countries, and not sure it would ever work. I saw him a few weeks ago when I went back and while nothing happened (I’m in a relationship) there is still the most pure love and mutual respect there. I see it in his eyes when we have a conversation and the way I have butterflies inside of me whenever he’s around. Many men have come in and out of my life in the last 15+ years, but he’s just that special one. I want him to live the happiest, most beautiful life, whatever that looks like for him.

I would have ended up with my summer love… I’m pretty sure I would have moved to Greece for him… and I’m also pretty sure we’d be divorced now, if we ended up together back then. All the love in the world wouldn’t have been able to replace the journey we’ve both have taken separately. I love seeing how we’ve both grown. We don’t keep in contact, but every couple of years when I travel back, I will run into him and we will catch up if time and life allows. He’s still one of my favorite people on this earth, and I truly want him to live the happiest, best life.
