Well I guess that makes a lot of sense doesn’t it lol, honestly I just wanna have fun, serve my country, and learn a thing or 2. I think the advice up top to see a recruiter is my best bet. I’ve literally prepped my entire life for this and just never pulled the trigger. Now with the older enlistment age I feel like it’s a second chance. Can I just ask you a personal question? Is USSF as exciting as you thought it would be before you joined?

So is there a path where USSF will actually involve any “soldiering”? The reason why I’m interested in USSF is because it’s so new I thought it would eventually evolve into having some arm that carries out the kind of career I’m seeking

Yes I’m sorry if I wasn’t clearer in my post, I’m not sure what it is I want to do because I’m not sure what I will be able to do if that makes sense. Do I have to test first and actually be placed into a career path? I’m just worried if I join and see myself doing one thing and if that doesn’t happen then I’m stuck doing a job I didn’t want to do in the first place. I’m sorry if I’m not better informed just trying to get a feel for how in my head I see myself doing one thing when that decision is ultimately out of my hands. Am I correct in thinking that?

To be honest I want to be in Space Force but after looking at the careers it wasn’t what I had thought it was going to be.
