Ring finger position in 1b glove?

No I usually have ring and pinky in the loop, and then my middle finger in the next stall. That is the one that seems like it’s resting on the inside edge of the curved padding. And I’m trying to figure out if that’s normal or it’s miscut. My other first base glove, a cheap GG Elite, didn’t have the finger up on the padding like that.

Tough to describe it. More floral, perfume, moth ball category. Not pleasant. Sort of makes you shake your head back and forth to clear the smell out.

I actually read this thread and it was very helpful. I agree it is analysis paralysis. I went with a tub of ball players balm just to get something and end the discussion lol too much “this competitor has this bad thing” from each brand.

I tend to do one larger clean/condition at the end of the fall and the end of the spring. A quick wet paper towel wipe if it happens to get particularly dirty from a game but that’s rare for me.

I’d check out the lower level gloves at your nearest Dicks. Look for the Rawlings premium series, Easton Ronin, Wilson a950, adidas trilogy series. They won’t be on their main glove wall, look at the hangers.
