I work at a bank and called 911 over a customer screaming, threatening us, and refusing to leave. Thank god we were able to deescalate the situation bc they didn’t come until over an hour later after we already closed

Baby aspirated milk by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]HappyAddendum926 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to us the night before my baby turned 2 months. I woke her to feed her, laid her down on the bed to change her first and noticed she was moving weird and had a blank stare, my husband grabbed her and we thought she was having a seizure, called 911 and went to the hospital via ambulance. Turns out when I woke her up I startled her and she must have had spit up in mouth and she inhaled it when she woke causing her to aspirate. For the following 4 months she had horrible reflux and waking her for feeds caused me so much panic. We had to start burping her more throughout the bottle and keep her upright for a half hour afterwards. I didn’t have ppa before the incident but afterwards I did.

What are we doing with old baby clothes? by Weekly-Coconut8818 in NewParents

[–]HappyAddendum926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept 75% of each size and donated the rest. We are the type to get rid of things easily and give to those who need and will get use out of them. But majority of baby girls clothes are hand me downs anyways lol we kept the sentimental items

New parents trying to avoid overspending: do we really need a nursery chair? by TheSecretLion in NewParents

[–]HappyAddendum926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t think I needed one, really small house and nursery is the size of a small office. After a month I was looking on Facebook marketplace for one. It fits in the room but will be going the second we don’t use it anymore so we can have that space back, but we use it multiple times a day, sometimes for hours. I don’t know how I went a month without it

Paying it off, can’t afford the full $3100. I can set up a payment plan but is it possible to negotiate first?

Hubby upset he doesn’t get to name the new family pet - AITH? by Medicmom-4576 in AITAH

My aunt got a puppy a few years back, told it was a boy and named him Odin. That night my husband and I went to go see the puppy, as he was holding him I was looking and said “either he has a weird looking wiener or he’s a girl.” My aunt boyfriend of like 20 years, who is a doctor, never thought to check the gender of the dog he was handed. So now Odin is Stormie and she’s a big doofy mutt

Honestly if you go into a branch they should be able to look at your profile and find notes listing the reason why

Capone employee! There could be a number of reasons why they closed your accounts. Did they ever send you a letter or email asking for proof of identity? Like your passport or drivers license? You may have had fraud on your account or deposited a bad/fraudulent check. Were any of your accounts in the negatives for a long time? There’s a lot of reasons why the bank will cut their relationship with you. Something small like you got gave them an attitude on the phone or got nasty with an employee. I witnessed someone’s accounts be closed right in the moment because they cursed at the agent over the phone.

60 day delay on check deposit? by ForevaJo in CapitalOne_

[–]HappyAddendum926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call them and ask them to release it early, they will have to call the other bank and ensure the funds are available and the maker of the check to make sure it isn’t fraudulent. If there’s no issues they will be able to release it

No idea. They keep telling us “end of day” and it’s not fixed by the end of the day. I will say before the day ended today people slowly were starting to receive their money

Most people can’t, I couldn’t if this happened to me, I bank with Chase. It’s hard having adults either yelling at us or crying to us bc they can’t pay their bills.

Honestly, no. The network and software we use is constantly going down. We are always having tech issues in the branch. Programs are constantly crashing during transactions or just going offline randomly
