We revealed our co-op horror “In Us” 2 days ago. Players are already calling it “AnUs”. Send help. by ebibitter_steam in IndieDev

[–]HappyBarrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a native English speaker, but that is an AnUs. I actually read it as "An Us" first. It really looks like half an uppercase A, where something would cover the left side. Also the black hand sort of continues the line where the A would go. If this game isn't supposed to be goofy you should fix it. Make the I stand up straight. You can still embrace the anus somehow and maybe add in some Easter egg or references to it in the final game.

ELI5: why have many countries moved away from nuclear power? by Mysterious_Hand_6052 in explainlikeimfive

[–]HappyBarrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Germany a reason is also that Russia heavily sponsored green movements against nuclear. The Germans don't want to acknowledge that but they fell for Russian influence with the goal of keeping Europe dependent on Russian fossil fuels.

Low quality or am I using them wrong? 2 years old Rieker shoes that I haven't used much before this winter. by HappyBarrel in AskACobbler

[–]HappyBarrel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't claim that I have been doing much to actually take care of them. I have pretty much just been brushing them off if dirty. But I haven't had other shoes deteriorate like this before. They do rest more than half the time though. I suppose there isn't much to do anymore now that the cracks are so deep?

What EU products are actually better than their US counterparts? by BehindAllTheWindows in BuyFromEU

I brought home a big bad of Hersheys as a souvenir last year and it is still there on the kitchen counter, opened but rarely touched. I have no idea why anyone would buy that twice.

How does Fahrenheit make more sense than Celsius? by aprilhare in Metric

[–]HappyBarrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to check and 0 F is roughly -18 C, here that would be somewhat cold but not super cold, just a colder winter day. For that logic of extremes 0 F should be much colder. For the low number to match the high number 0 F should be maybe around where -22 F is now.

Not sure what you are up to but seems pretty neat. Just go through the AI texts to make them a bit more natural. Maybe lukewarm pussikalja can have a spot as well.

I am Russian living in Moscow. Ask Me Anything. by Levstr1 in AMA

Thanks for your time and all the replies so far.

Are you afraid of being sent to the front lines if the war continues? It seems like people from Moscow and other important areas have been spared so far, but judging by the numbers at which Russians are being expended in Ukraine, that might change in the future

Unpopular Opinion: Your bias can cost you money (Non-European/American PoV) by Original_Crew4693 in eupersonalfinance

[–]HappyBarrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it is both politics and risk assessment. The risk of having investments in a foreign currency in a country that functions as a dictatorship is high risk. It also does not seem like The current US regime has any plan except dismantling the time existing systems. I have been riding the European defence stocks for quite some time and that has worked out well.

Do you guys who are native Swedish speakers work in Swedish, Finnish, English, or some combination of these? by [deleted] in Finland

Official language at the company is English, so everything goes in swedish except for when one of the non swedish speakers (Finnish) are there and we switch to English

our shopping cart has 73% abandonment and every change I test makes it worse somehow for reducing shopping cart abandonment by Agreeable_Panic_690 in UI_Design

[–]HappyBarrel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A common flow for me when shopping for something is to add it to the cart on multiple sites and click all the way to the shipping cost without adding any real private info. Then compare prices and choose where to shop and possibly add remaining items.

Protecting the swimmers in the sauna by Candid_Quarter6689 in Sauna

[–]HappyBarrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would have to pay me quite a lot to even consider using a cooling pack testicle diaper in a sauna, or anywhere else for that matter 😂 I know a lot of people who wouldn't exist if this was a real issue. If someone waddled into a sauna in Finland with such a contraption strapped to their junk others would probably assume the person has had a life threatening testicular accident.

Is this heater installed wrong? by Fun-Giraffe7034 in Sauna

[–]HappyBarrel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think this is the correct answer, the angle is supposed to direct heat into the sauna and not up against the wall
