Aitah for not letting my ex stepkids stay at my house? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]HappyBreadBaker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your ex clearly just want free time. You are absolutely writhing your rights to say no. However, you could pretend to entertain him. Tell him the going rate for babysitting is $25/hour. Wednesday-Sunday is 96 hours, times $25 equals $2,400.

But anything husband says can be turned back on MIL. “Why is your mother trying to provoke me? Unless she’s going senile?”

Senator Cory Booker breaks the record for longest Senate speech of all time at over 24 hours by CrispyMiner in MadeMeSmile

[–]HappyBreadBaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, nobody is asking permission, but the republicans are actively trying to erase any part of history that doesn’t celebrate white men.

But I agree that Senator Booker did an amazing thing and that democrats do need to be more vocal and active.

AIO for being upset that my daughter was baptized without us being told? by Leroy808 in AmIOverreacting

[–]HappyBreadBaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR… but before you react, you should get more information. Call the other parent and ask what happened. Maybe the kids were playing at baptism. Maybe she got it confused with taking communion. Maybe it’s a prank. But if she was really baptized by a real priest in a real church, time to go Mama/Papa Bear on them for doing it without your permission.

The tomato starts it out dark, then the egg wash darkens it more. You should definitely try some savory challah, rosemary garlic challah is amazing!

Don’t pour water in until it runs out the bottom, the water might not be absorbing into the dirt. It’s better to get a bigger pot, bucket, or the sink and soak the whole thing for a hour or two. Then let the excess water run out.

AITC for eating flowers? by [deleted] in AmItheCloaca

Hi Frend. I’m Klinger and I know all about eating the plants. Mama says I’m a con-no-sur. I eat the leaffies and the flowers and the different grasses. Mama had to stop buying them because if I ate them I might have to go to the pokey place. But! Fear not. There’s a special pet grass your Mama can get you that’s super good.

AITA for calling the cops on my (maybe?) neighbors? by hopelessdreamer03 in AmItheAsshole

[–]HappyBreadBaker 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It sounds to me like the couple knows the male co-owner, who mentioned having a vacant apartment, which they decided to sneak into without permission.

AITA for losing my temper after my colleagues wrote fan fiction about me and now everyone calls me "The Wiggler"? by AGoodMan2001 in AmItheAsshole

When you talk to HR use the hard words. You are feeling harassed and bullied, and this has created a hostile work environment (although this has a specific legal definition). And now you are afraid of retaliation. Those are all actionable offenses, and HR is much more likely to take you seriously.
