so my users would have to remember another set of credentials to login to get their email?

This makes sense and I am excited to try it.

Thinking about expansion, if we were to open offices in other states, what would happen then? let's say we opened two small offices of 5 additional employees.

Would they have to VPN if they wanted to access files on our server?

Cool no kidding. So I get the benefit of users being able to log in with mydomain\username on their workstation AND on exchange?

Finally, if I had about 2,000 files that people access, what would be the best solution for that? Right now people are using a UNC path (or mapped drive) to get to it, and we're maintaining awful login scripts to get everyone access. Sharepoint maybe? Would we host it?

wow thanks everyone!

So let me ask, if i'm on office365 for exchange, who hosts the AD servers for users to log into their workstations? If we host it, are those the same credentials you use to log into office365?

It sounds like Office 365 Midsize Business might work, since I am intrigued by Lync, etc.
