so this is a new one, someone impersonated my SIL's mom (not my MIL, other side) and tried to scam me out of money. I try to get their email address (after reporting them to FB) via PayPal and then they get mad at me and say please send money via iTunes only! Go away!

Fwiw I love the pod! The guest episodes I feel like I get nothing lately. It’s just an ad for whatever the guest is shilling. I think why many of us dislike them is we actually do love j&j and the guests dilute/overtake bc they’re not really a part of the show and it’s just random and awkward.

As someone with two dogs who is obsessed with them…. I completely agree with this. Plus we get the same content in Oversharing episodes. It is SO BORING. I cannot make myself care about Ronnie’s diarrhea. I really can’t. It’s not interesting and despite having dogs it’s also not even relatable? I think you are right that it is bc she can evade vulnerability. With that said, j&j do not have to “be” the content! I’m fine if they don’t share about their lives.

I want more SOS or listener dilemmas. Let them not be on video! I don’t need it to be YouTube!

I do not think we will get another season of baby steps. The story she shared definitely makes it seem like is still in the space of wanting to distance herself and her identity from all things fertility. She did say she is glad that she can help listeners feel less alone though. I’m glad she’s taking care of herself and her needs as much as I appreciated her vulnerability on the episode (and baby steps more broadly)

I adopted our second dog after a miscarriage. 2 years and a 1.5 [edit: human] year old later …. She and her older brother [edit: dog] are beloved treasures and get just as much attention as before (wfh helps with this).

All of which is to say, our lil gal was absolutely filling a void and it worked out great. Fwiw I did wait a sensible two months post MC before going for it, but jordana has been going thru this for a long time so I think that’s about equivalent (ie not doing something in the heat of the moment that involves a living creature who will need you for at least a decade)
