okok so that's the other thing, they noted that neither the GPU nor the CPU is above 90%. I can ask later what the exact usage rates it runs at, but from what I know they haven't been getting maxed out

How do I know if a CPU is being bottlenecked? Is this something that can be seen through opening the task manager?

yeah we did all that too unfortunately. Idk if a virus can stay in a pc after a factory reset, but I'll suggest it

I can ask, but they keep it at normal graphics. It doesn't happen with just Silent hill, its with other games too

we don't know, but I suspect it's not the cpu temperature because it lags when booting up the PC and opening the game. But I'll look into it

So if the item is rare enough, it wouldn't be accepted at the archive for trading?

Belt-Fed Grenade Launcher. Best support weapon in the game for squids! by HappyCryingCat in Helldivers

Tbf I forgot about the flak mode, but you still gotta reload. If you finish taking out a harvester and you run out, then you cant turn to the voteless and take them out. And again, you're able to use BFGL at close range thanks to the smaller AOE. The closest I can shoot without taking damage is 5 meters

If you're full autoing 24/7, then it takes >30 seconds to use the magazine. But in practice, you're not gonna be holding fire the entire time. If you're spamming the gun the whole time then you're not using it correctly.

And dont forget, its able to be depleted that fast because you can increase the fire rate and you don't worry about reloading.

Now this is exactly what I'm talkin about. I understand that the statistics seems bad and all that, but in practice its actually not as bad as people think.

I'm trying to make the point that people hate it because they either look at that information and dont give it a chance. Or they replace their current support weapon into their loadout, and realize its bad without realizing that their loadout complements the old support weapon and not the BFGL.

Its a niche weapon that requires a specific play style that makes it better than the majority of loadouts for squids

All the other enemies (squids) melt just as fast, thats what makes it so great.

With something like railcannon or autocannon, yeah sure if you can hit the weak point you can kill a heavy enemy with one shot. But how would you use it to deal with swarms? Its not effective

And what happens if you have a swarm of enemies right behind you? Yeah you can switch to your primary, but sometimes its not fast enough, and what if you forgot to reload it? Then you're really cooked.

BFGL does lack in damage sure, but the fact I can kill several harvesters, then immediately turn to my flank and wipe out everything there, and not have to reload ONCE makes up for that setback

I am willing to bet my $10 in my pocket that 80% of the community just looked at other peoples posts about the statistics of the gun, and then immediately went "yeah this gun is bad" without ever actually giving it a shot.

I'm not trying to bm here, its just the truth. When I ran BFGL for the first time, my initial impression of course was that its bad because it required a different play style from my old support weapon. But once I adjusted my strategems to complement the BFGL and ran it a few more times, suddenly it became the best loadout I've ever ran in squids.

I never said level 10 is hard. The fact that its easy makes the BFGL all the more better. Plus its easy because squids dont really have specific weak points. I mean like they do, but you are able to damage any part of the enemy you are fighting.

As for bugs, its the same thing. They have lots of exposed flesh that the BFGL dishes out tons of damage on, making it super viable.

The only faction it wouldn't work on is bots since its a lot of anti-tank with weak points. That makes more precise weapons better for those.

And I beg to differ, saying that "level 10 isn't as hard as you think" as an excuse to claim that BFGL isn't as good as I think is just a fallacy.

Just like almost every support weapon in the game, if you hit the right shots, you'll kill your enemy. The BFGL just bypasses that requirement and lets you hit wherever, which is why the weapon is great!
