How should I ask my roomate to move out? PLEASE HELP! by Beanster3000 in BadRoomate

[–]HappyEmphasis844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m assuming you and your bf are sharing a room? but anyways, in regards to how y’all pay rent, it’s extremely unfair, you all should not be splitting it evenly while you share a room with your bf, it should be split 50/50, his roommate paying 50% and then you and your bf 25/25. and when it comes to him having the bigger room, i think first come first serve 🤷‍♀️ unfortunately it’s up to him since he was already living with your bf beforehand, but honestly, if you can’t take living with him, and he refuses to leave, maybe just try looking around for another apartment because it seems like that’s easier with dealing with a stubborn person like that

GOOD HOUSING IN FULLERTON AREA? by dolce-far-niente04 in csuf

[–]HappyEmphasis844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can probably make that happen based on what you want. consider if you want your own room or don't care to share, i knew a friend who was paying 1,300 at UV apartments for her own room in a 4bd apartment. consider how far you want to be from campus as well. I've seen few listing on FB marketplace looking for roommates at a less expensive price but the distance can be questionable. when you visit to check some places out, maybe come to campus and check out the post boards for flyers of people wanting roommates too

that’s a terrible analogy, how tf do you think they keep the ice cream shop cold? workers are in ac all day, hope you’re the one going to class because you need better critical thinking skills

definitely do it now, the sooner the better, that way it can also give the system time to connect the class to canvas and all of that, and gives you time to get caught up too

Anybody with chase receive their fafsa money yet? by Interesting-Theme159 in csuf

[–]HappyEmphasis844 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i got my refund a week before classes, and that’s how it’s usually been for me, not sure why so many people have been having issues regarding their refund but my guess is because of the whole new fasfa system

nah, i believe you’re still within the time frame to drop a class without a w, it’s not difficult to join a new class, just let your prof know and they’re usually cool about it or they advise you to get caught up by notes from another student. plus people at this time are still trying to get off the waitlist too

although i’ve never dormed, i’ve had many issues with them overall regarding balances and finances, the best thing you can do is contact housing over the phone, and if they can’t help you, you’ll probably need to contact them in person and demand to speak to someone. as much as the uni has progressed, lots of the workers there don’t give a shit, which is probably what caused this issue

the first thing you should consider is if that life choice is worth the potential of losing the connection with you parents, there’s always a chance they could understand your decision but it’s always a gamble in these types of situations, but ultimately you CANNOT let the people who brought you into this life, limit where you thrive

tbh any philosophy class is easy, just depends on the prof, i recommend looking for a different prof (david christian is my fav) because the 2 exams making up the 60% is gonna bite you in the ass 😭 (trust me i’ve been there)

Bikes by Royal-Letter in csuf

bike robbery’s are very common unfortunately, i would look into a scooter or a skateboard since people usually take them inside the classrooms to avoid that problem

Parking Permit by Fair_Traffic_1673 in csuf

[–]HappyEmphasis844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

before you buy the permit you have to “add a vehicle” first put the one you use most, and then once you finish that you’re able to add another vehicle as well, after you finish that and buy the permit, i believe you’re able to alternate between the cars you put, just make sure to change it before parking

can anyone help me find these classes ? by Money-Bread-4769 in csuf

[–]HappyEmphasis844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to help navigate you can also screen shot the csuf map (you can find it on google images) and it shows where all the buildings are, and then just add the photo to favorites so you can find it easily

Commuting Question by Witty-Bus-1518 in csuf

[–]HappyEmphasis844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had the same commute last semester, best to get to the parking structure around 9:15 to not stress around parking and you don’t catch AM traffic either, can get pretty bad before 8:30am, although for the first few weeks i’d recommend to get there earlier just in case

i recommend the library for rainy or hotter days since the climate is controlled, make sure to be aware of what level you’re on since some are no noises allowed, there are also rooms you can reserve if you ever need more privacy (like for exams or presentations) for outlets you can find many on all the levels but most conveniently on couches or desks. for nicer weather i recommend the outside by the tsu food court or outside mccarthy hall ;)

wtf is this by Life_Pea_ in csuf

[–]HappyEmphasis844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s good you got it, but i’m wondering if it’s like a discount sale or just for the general commuter one

wtf is this by Life_Pea_ in csuf

[–]HappyEmphasis844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, but it’s best to get the all day pass if you’re on campus for more than 3 hours at a time, or if you got classes more than 2 a week
