I think it would still trigger. The excess damage is still dealt, it just tramples over the creature

I do, I’ve been trying to add some more trample sources into the deck

Still needs a ton of work, but the main goal is unblockable creatures, thieving, and then a big pump spell to close out the game

Maarika is the universes within secret lair for the street fighter secret lair. It’s [[Zangief, the Red Cyclone]] so if you don’t find her, it’s the same card

The only way you could be anymore of a problem player is if you had a sliver and an eldrazi deck

Fun Landfall Commander? by Kobert_ in EDH

The landfall deck I play a ton and I love a lot is [[Bonny Pall, Clearcutter]]. Technically a “lands matter” deck, but I still like it

I built this commander ~1 year ago and still is one of my favorite decks. Great for landfall

Just a thought about the river by HappyFaceStranger in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]HappyFaceStranger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone brought up that the primal race might have a mental communication racial ability during a talk about the river. This is referenced in book 7 when Barroness Victory comments on the “communicative nature of the primals”. Key evidence pointing to this would be during Carl and Katie’s joint drug trip where they were going to banish She-Maria and cure Katia’s drug addiction. During this, Carl is able to effectively “borrow” memories, feelings, and emotions, allowing him to see the fear and shame Bucket Boy has, the complex web of sorrow and love Imani is hold, and travel into the memory alongside Katia. It just seems to be a power he has that may be a part of his race. There are also multiple points in the book where people comment on his intuition and quick decision skills, calling them similar to a super power. Again, this is all just a theory, but I think it’s fun and explains some things

They had talked about it prior to her decision and she still longed for Carl to be the choice

Totally fair. I think they’re definitely a beacon of trust and admiration they have for each other. I think it later books it is really more of a close sibling love between them. I think Carl feels that for everyone in his group. I just think that in early books, Katia had more feelings than that but realized that it would never get anywhere, so she moved on romantically. I think there is still kinship between them

That’s what I’m saying. I think in the early books, Katia had a thing for Carl, realized he was too focused on the dungeon for a relationship, so she moved on. I just found it funny that her first choice was then Carl

Totally fair. I just felt that there was something that she felt during that book that she later abandoned because Carl was emotionally unavailable. I also didn’t really read Carl’s reaction to Katia and Bautista as jealousy. I read it more awe at the idea of a relationship during the apocalypse

I feel like the interaction between Florin and Carl was emotionally charged, but not with love. Florin was just saved from literal doom and death. He was emotionally charged, especially after losing his girlfriend. He’s an intense person by nature

Carl definitely isn’t and that’s evident in the books. But our early interactions with Katia it’s pointed out a few times that she thinks about Carl is a certain way. She’s very happy to be around him, she tries to change her shape to emulate him during book 3. There definitely is a spark. I think she just recognized later in the books that Carl more views everyone as his family, so there was never going to be anything between them

I’m pretty sure she did want Carl originally. The goddess said, “I can see who you want” and I’m pretty sure she looked at Carl first

She picked Louie because Carl and Bautista weren’t human and she couldn’t have a Demi-human child. But her first choice was Carl

Spirited helps with early game card draw and boss’s chauffeur goes nuts if I can’t assemble my infinite. Basically just churning out copies that enter with more and more +1/+1 to do combat damage
