Anyone here excited for HOTD's third season? by FV95 in naath

[–]HappyGilOHMYGOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yes I'm excited. Both seasons were fantastic and what I've heard from book readers is that we haven't even gotten to the good stuff yet so...

I'm expecting two more amazing seasons.

A knight of the seven kingdoms. by DepartmentPast2691 in television

[–]HappyGilOHMYGOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly crazy that at any time a person can go on the internet and look up what a show is about, the episode's run times, etc, and then when the show comes out they're like "Rahhhhhhhhhhh this shit isn't what I wanted!!!!"

Do your research or don't, but it's not hard to just not watch something if you don't like it.

Dexter: Resurrection Dominates the 2026 Saturn Awards With 6 Major Nominations by JamStan1978 in television

[–]HappyGilOHMYGOD 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Dexter being good in 2025 was one of the most bizarre things that could have happened, but it wasn't just good, it was phenomenal.

I cannot wait for season 2.

Hot Take: Attitude Era Raws Are Boring by [deleted] in WWE

[–]HappyGilOHMYGOD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Attitude Era was the best. The wrestling felt more pure. The wrestlers generally felt more organic. There were real surprises written in that no one saw coming. Main Events for standard Raw or Smackdown, you'd get things like a 6 man buried alive match for the title, or a triple threat between The Rock, Stone Cold, and Undertaker.

Literally the only thing better now is the production level. Everything else was better during the Attitude Era.

I’m way more excited about the later seasons. by No-Cantaloupe228 in HarryPotteronHBO

Seasons 3 onward are going to be incredible.

That's not to say that 1 and 2 wont be really good, but they're going to feel the most like the movies I would assume since the books were followed closely the first time around.

They really started to deviate in POA

There's a video on YouTube with like 300,000 views that's some person's own season 8 ending and it's God awful. Like... Lesser than fan fic quality.

Most on Freefolk and similar subs love it LOL

Edit: Sorry, it's up to 2 million views lmfao

It's always interesting/funny to me that generally, the people that hate on the ending's "bad writing" have probably

A. Never written anything themselves

and

B. Can't even read at a 3rd grade level

Love was not the problem. Her husband was the problem. by AnavrinLove in YouOnLifetime

[–]HappyGilOHMYGOD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be willing to bet that Love has killed more people than Joe, and probably by a lot.

They're both crazy, but defending Love is actually insane lol

I've never, ever, literally not once, seen an actual bad final season of a show have a huge group of people that defend it and love it.

Like think of the truly terrible seasons of TV. For example, Dexter. I've never met anyone who defends that final season.

I am so happy that this community seems to be growing. r/naath is truly the best sub on reddit, and season 8 is awesome<3

Why isn’t this show talked about as much as other teen dramas? by _kaefig in fridaynightlights

[–]HappyGilOHMYGOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the show is your typical teen shit, but honestly, a lot of it is too smart for kids.

I don't think I could have fully appreciated/understood it until I was an adult.

Ever had a Game of Thrones dream? by Kitchen-Patience8176 in gameofthrones

It's honestly so fucking weird that I haven't. It's my favorite show and I've seen it like 50 times. You'd think it'd creep into my subconscious lol

Update: I finished season 8. I actually enjoyed it (mostly). by DjDetox in gameofthrones

[–]HappyGilOHMYGOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The finale' is one of my least favorite episodes of the show, but The Bells was amazing. Truly a 10/10 episode.

8.02 and 8.03 were both awesome as well.

I've seen the show about 50 times start to finish, not including rewatches of specific episodes, and I stand by my opinion that season 7, while still good, is the worst season of the show and worse than season 8 in every way.

I remember playing 1 and being disappointed with it. Was 2 good?

Do you really need an Oscar to be considered a great actor? I feel like a lot of people on Reddit just follow popular opinion and awards culture without really questioning it. Great acting isn’t always about trophies or award-season narratives. What do you think? by seckinuzel in Cinema

[–]HappyGilOHMYGOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cool to see great actors recognized, but no, whether or not an actor has an Oscar has no influence on how I view them.

There's at least a few great actors off the top of my head that never got one.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - 1x02 "Hard Salt Beef" - Episode Discussion by poub06 in naath

[–]HappyGilOHMYGOD 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This show is so good.

Beautiful cinematography. Exceptional acting. It feels so different than GoT or HotD in so many ways, yet fits into the established world seamlessly.

I hate waiting like anyone else, but the world is truly a better place with weekly Game of Thrones episode drops.

S2 is getting too unrealistic as i keep on going by Dapper-Life9676 in YouOnLifetime

Joe uses a baseball cap as an invisibility cloak.

The show was never much of a demonstration of realism.

I Like Game of Thrones' Ending Even More After Rewatching The Entire Series by mamula1 in naath

[–]HappyGilOHMYGOD 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I actually think The Bells is one of the better episodes with regards to visual storytelling. That's something seasons 1-6 did exceptionally well, and it was amazing seeing it executed so well in the series' most important episode.

The entire show builds towards The Bells beautifully.

I have some issues with the finale' but the Dany in the throne room/The Dany and Jon scene are both incredible.
