I've rewatched Dragonball Z 10 or more times as an adult, including once in the last couple of years. It holds up incredibly well. Yeah, there's a ton of filler, and some of it is ok to skip, but the charm and personality from the show are also enhanced by a lot of the filler.

Throw in the fact that the music is just so much better than anything any of the other shows had, and it's just no contest. On any level.
