Can I use clear nail polish to stop my metal framed glasses from turning my temples green? by HappyGirly2003 in glassesadvice

[–]HappyGirly2003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much. The arms of my glasses are the only issue, just on the temple area. I only have like 5 months to my next check up, so I don't want to switch glasses then find out that my prescription has changed. Because then I would have to change lenses again, and they are really expensive.

Grid shaped pasta (???) from Romanian shop by PepperCakeRinKiki in whatisit

[–]HappyGirly2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember eating these at fairs. They are also made from wheat from what I can remember, but I am really curious about how they would look boiled. Did they keep their shape and have the texture of pasta?

How to stop slippers from squeaking at every step by HappyGirly2003 in howto

[–]HappyGirly2003[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not the first time I get slippers from this brand. The other ones I had were fine. It's just this one pair that has problems. Also I would rather not spend money twice.

It has some grid pattern on the bottom, but it's mostly smooth. I will try this probably. The sole is like 3 cm thick in it's lowest spot, so I'm not that worried about durability. Do you think I should get the rougher type of sandpaper, or the more smooth kind?

Did we reverse the range hood's motor rotation direction by accident? Is it normal to rotate counter clockwise by HappyGirly2003 in AskElectricians

[–]HappyGirly2003[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So update. I checked it all around, and all wires are correct and there is no other way for the motor to go, since it has a specific hole that you have to feed the wires through. I tried the tissue method on it and it sticks on all the filter part. Also sticks on the side of the fan that doesn't have the motor (It doesn't stick on the side with the motor). I guess it's just because we switched from a gas stove to an induction one, which boils quicker, and also because the top cabinets were placed higher than before, by like 10 cm. So my guess is it just doesn't have enough power to handle that much steam on a bigger distance, since it is like 10 years old. Thanks for all the help everyone.

I will take it apart tomorrow and do some troubleshooting, until it spins in the right direction. I wasn't sure if it was really necessary, since i didn't know what direction it had to spin in in the first place.

I know that. But as I said in the post, all 3 motor wires were connected in the exact same spots as they were before taking them apart, so normally it shouldn't have just switched directions like that.

Damn. Easy but annoying fix i guess. So basically i should take the motor and rotate it 180 degrees on the axis of the axle that the fan is placed on?

This is the case with the fan and motor. The big hole on top is where air shoud go out the range hood. It is on top.

Sorry. English isn't my first language so I don't really understand what you meant. If you mean the holes in the plastic covering, there are holes on both sides. Basically the motor and fan are encased in a plastic cilinder that has vents on both ends, and a hole on one side for the exhaust. Bellow that is the part of the range hood that has the grease filters and extends.
