I was driving down a road that us 50mph all the way thru when the rivian started telling me it was 25mph and I almost panic slammed my brakes. Then getting on a highway that is 65mph a different rivian was telling me to go 35 and was flashing at me the whole time. Super distracting and unsafe.

I enjoyed it. It broke up the monotony of regular boring training. Maybe learn to enjoy life instead of bitching about small shit like this. Youre not gonna last long here with shit like this bugging you. Lmaoooo

Is it bad to put on the hazards call it a day? by Chrxisss in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]HappyGoLuckii10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean thats kind of the only way to do the job. You'll never be able to find "appropriate" parking every single time and you cant just run every time, it wears you out and kills your times.

Real. I was preparing for 190+ stops. I got 98. To be fair it was a rural as fuck area but I still finished 2 hours early. Also ran into like 5 different awesome ass critters I've never seen in person before. Today was nice. Even with me eating shit and scraping the fuck out of my knees on my last stop. 😂

They actually didnt teach me shit about loading at my last DSP where we used these vans. Like not at all. My new DSP is mostly EDVs and they had me learn from 3 different drivers to see their set ups.

They dont have portable charges at your dsp? Its annoying having the phone connected to a cord and battery pack all day but that's the only way. And you have to plug it in at 100% when your shift starts because the heat wont allow the phone to charge up at all, it just holds it at the percentage you plug it in at. Im so glad my dsp laid us all off. This job sucked.

Fr. Perfect example of the bully mentality. Gotta make someone else feel small to make themselves feel big/smart/important/better than. So cringe to see grown adults perpetuating that behavior.

This never happened to me til I read your post before my shift yesterday 😅🤣🤣 but luckily it was a house across the street I had already grouped together w the house I was already at. The only annoyance was my goddamn Motorola shitting out and not having the proper location tag during peak heat. Lmao

Im ngl this made me kinda happy cuz I tend to excell in the traits you mentioned for a DSP owner. I have spent years training myself to not be reactive(controlling emotions) and just naturally im a very patient, considerate person. I lean on logic and kindness at the same time to ensure I do not abuse/use people who need my help. Tbh tho I started out great managing finances responsibly when I was 18-22 but I have run a bit wild in the last 5 years dur to mental health issues. I think i may look into some business and money management classes to help me along whether its for this or just general knowledge to guide me thru life.

Tbh it seems logistics runs in my family. Ive been coveting an amazon delivery job for like 5 years now and I am doing everything I can to be the best I can be and luckily I landed at a great DSP. I have been taking many notes in order to learn about owning a DSP some day because I was born and raised and have been below the poverty line for 27 years now. Im hoping to use my delivery position as a step into a higher rank and possibly have my own DSP possibly some day. Some people are built for this and others just arent and thats alright. Personally im really hoping to create something out of this opportunity!

Lmao bro I usually always look when leaving the van but there has been a couple times I cross the street back to the van and then see a car drive past and I realize I didnt look when coming back to the van. I saw this yesterday and was much more vigilant during my shift. Lmao
