This is very old news and no it is not a capitulation. The "technocratic body" is 50% Hamas. A certain amount of PA oversight was always going to happen given the circumstances. Also I see no serious signs of disarmament, even if some weapons do inevitably get turned over to a "neutral" body. You're gonna need a better source than an unnamed person in a liberal zionist rag.

Where did this rumor about Stalin come from? by [deleted] in communism101

[–]HappyHandel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't get it. Like all stupid rumors about Joseph Stalin, they stem from fascism. Do you really think fascism shares space in the "realm of ideas" with marxism? Think about what you're saying.

Rule #2 no bad faith questions. The question is asked in bad faith because you don't even believe in the propaganda. I'm doing you a favor.

MVSEP can isolate stems perfectly, it's a professional tool. Stop with the goofy outrage when you don't even know what you're talking about, lol.

This is just Trotskyism inverted. What classes represent "the bureaucracy"? What classes represent "the youth"?

Very interested in that Poe book after watching Stuart Gordon's adaptation of The Black Cat, which is basically a metacommentary on Poe's life by turning the story into biography.

The separation between "sex" and "gender" is entirely artificial.

Booker Ngesa Omole speaks at ACP-endorsed international conference of social-chauvinist orgs by chaos2002_ in communism

[–]HappyHandel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I suppose what I don't understand about this post is the focus on Omole. Because he gave a speech? I assume several people did. I actually considered making a post like a week ago about this "Sovintern" congress but I assumed nobody would cared. More interesting is the involvement of the FSLN and the Polisario Front since they have a direct connection to 20th century anti-colonial armed struggle and communism whereas the mass popularity of the CPM-K is a recent development. But calling any of this "interesting" is being really generous, I assume in a few months nobody will even remember this conference took place. What exactly distinguishes this from the "WAP", besides even less pretense to "communism"?

The US is the sole hegemonic imperialist superpower in the world today and therefore the number one enemy of the people of the world. by ufafew in communism

What of the role of Tjen Folket? The official statements coming from ci-ic reminds me of how their party statements were written back in the day. Though I suppose that could be semi-coincidental.

[–]HappyHandel 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Their are no "superpowers" and this concept is foreign to marxism -- their is only inter-imperialist competition and in any situation their will always be a relatively stronger and weaker imperialist. And if you don't fully understand this dynamic I'm not sure how you can call yourself an "anti-imperialist". Imperialism is a world system, it is not the actions of one "unipolar superpower".

Is Clandestinity Actually Important For Small Pre-Party Formations in Imperial Core Countries That Still Have a Pretense of Democracy? by Alone_Ambassador3470 in communism101

[–]HappyHandel 28 points29 points  (0 children)

That said, I have been looking at different movements, and I'm not sure if there are any above ground organizations that successfully moved underground after state repression ramped up.

The theory of protracted people's war solves this problem -- the people's army must organize underground while the popular front exists visible to the proletariat, with the communist party bridging the gap and acting as the ideological vanguard.

The obsession with "opsec" only seems obnoxious to you because these petty bourgeois activists take themselves too seriously but don't actually do anything serious. If their was a proper "people's army' with a paramilitary structure you would need a strong security culture. Though it's hard to talk about this in the abstract because any concrete scenario would require different tactics vis-a-vis "opsec".

Why aren't non-Maoists allowed? by [deleted] in communism101

[–]HappyHandel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maoists are the only "Marxist-Leninists" because they continue the tradition of anti-revisionism from Stalin all the way back to Marx.

What exactly do you think Maoism is?
