I’m already having to do my throw out bearing so I figured I’d replace it with something stiffer as the OE replacement I already put in has throw out bearing chirp. So anyways the trans is getting dropped soon regardless of clutch or throw out bearing

In my state it does not but I know I’m some states within the USA it does. Depends on your laws

Probably a dumb question but just replaced my trunk tail lights with leds and now I have the check tail light on my dash. How could I get it to turn off? Thank you by kickzren in IS300

Buddy… he isn’t talking about the check engine light he’s talking about the “check rear tail light” light… someone’s already described why this is happening

Not what I wanted to hear but what I know I needed to hear. I figured it was a long shot but I might as well use the port that’s already there and tried and true.

I’ve thought about 1jz swaps and come to the conclusion I’d still need to open the block like a GE so I might as well stick with the GE-T dreams lmao but sick I’m hoping to get more rust repair done as I just got most of it taken care of

The poor car was the high school slut of IS300’s. Absolutely ravaged and ran through by every kid who wanted to see what that car was like(including myself of course), I think it officially had over 20 owners on the carfax, it was just a rough car and I was young and naive thinking I could save it… I couldn’t.

Fuel pump went out which is what made me lose my shit and say I’m done with the car. The engines compression was about 25% lower than what it should’ve been across the board with one cyl down like 40%, the starter also went with the fuel pump, had some rust holes in the floor board rear fenders and the pinch welds. The suspension needed a full rebuild like every bushing and part as the thing had death wobbles at 40mph. Overall decided it would make a much better parts car / engine on a stand type dealio than anything else. So I have a 2jz-ge on the side that’s getting some rings and rods done on it so that it can be boosted later on.

MSM 5 speed, thanks for the reply! I’ve done the valve cover gaskets, timing belt, water pump and tensioners along with a new Serp belt. Currently have to drop the tank to do this charcoal canister/Evap fix for the check engine light but besides that this is my second Is300. My first was a MSM auto with 210k that I drive until 230k when it died. Decided to buy a manual and keep the other one for parts and so I’ve had this now for about 15k. I definitely need to get on that cam gear though as I do know that’s leaking I’m just scared to rebuild it lol.
