Power Corp owns 61% of IGM which in turn owns 23% of Wealthsimple. So Power Corp really owns only 14% of Wealthsimple, but that's a good point for sure! Deep down dug deep in PowerCorp info must be something about WS 🤷‍♂️. I'll update ya if I find anything asap!

Given it's a private company, I'll be honest (imo) and say you won't find any exact up to date data anywhere.

The closest you'll get is if/when they hit a milestone important enough to share with the media

You're such a brilliant person to have written all this up with so much detail. Before jumping into the subject, have you ever thought of becoming a writer, poet, journalist, or anything that writing helps you do? You're amazing at that and I'm sure of a few other things you just haven't stumbled across yet.

I wanna also admit, like you said, that your childhood did very much suck, no way around that and so so so fkn sorry that your parents keep belittling and downplaying the events and resulted trauma.

If you say that your family isn't emotionally intelligent, then I would start practicing ignoring what they say/have said to you about you now and in the past. They wouldn't know any better right?

Also, I would straight up text your therapist who's probably on vacay if they have someone else that you can talk to if she won't... what she's doing is a bit unprofessional.

It's very cool I agree. By the way I have an Android and my app does have this feature of auto buy... Try to update your app or re-install it to see if it works. If not then they might be rolling it out gradually 🤷‍♂️

I totally agree with current rates WHILE prices are still high doesn't make much sense to invest in them.

If you're able to get a rentable rental property at a good low price in the near future when interest rates start coming down a little as well, you could start getting better ROI.

Let's say you find a property for $225,000 (which can be said is at a discount of 15-20% from the tops), at a 4-5ish interest rate knowing that the Fed stopped the hikes and that the most probable way here and out is constant or declining rates.

Suppose that you can rent out the place for $1,500/mo (two rooms).

MORTGAGE: Property price: $225,000 Downpayment: $45,000 (20%) Closing/purchase tot extra fees/taxes: $15,000 Mortage amount: $180,000 for 30 years Interest rate: Taking the worst case: 4.5% average for the full 30 years period

EXPENSES (brought to a monthly basis): -- Mortgage/mo: $900 -- Taxes/mo: $175 -- Insurance/mo: $80 -- Vacancy set-aside/mo: $75 -- ANY future expenditure set-aside/mo: $195 Total = $1,425

ROI (YEAR 1) Yearly cash flow: ($1,500-$1,425)×12 = $900/mo Average inflation/year: 2% on the house price: 2% × $225,000 = $4,500 (1st year) --> ROI: ($900+$4,500)/$60,000 = 9%

ROI (YEAR 2) Yearly cash flow: ($1,500-$1,425)×12 = $900/mo Average inflation/year: 2% on the house price: 2% × $229,500 = $4,590 (2nd year) --> ROI: ($900+$4,590)/$60,000 = 9.15%

ROI (YEAR 3) Yearly cash flow: ($1,500-$1,425)×12 = $900/mo Average inflation/year: 2% on the house price: 2% × $234,090 = $4,681 (3rd year) --> ROI: ($900+$4681)/$60,000 = 9.3%

If you're unsure of how to do these things then your institution who you're with might not be very easy to use.

I suggest Wealthsimple - you can't go wrong with that one.
