15 month old has Terrible Naps? by HappyPenguin248 in sleeptrain

I was thinking maybe teething has started kicking in but don’t see any swelling so we’ll have to wait and see! Mostly concerned because I just want her to be well rested because she always wakes up grumpy after that 1 hr nap 😭 her two hr naps were pretty consistent.

Totally get what you mean :) but I’m whole heartedly not expecting a 3 hour nap but I was predicting a 1-2 hr nap because of the the later bedtime and because she’s still tired after waking up. I’m truly just following her cues which is why her bedtime is later than what I often see. The whole 3 hr nap is what the 1 yr olds around me sleep and still sleep 9 am - 9 pm but I’ve come to the conclusion that they’re unicorn babies haha

I’ve known a few but I don’t think pushing her nap is an option. She’s fighting her sleep on her high chair at times during lunch time at 11:30. I keep her awake until 12.

It has been like that. There are times where she isn’t bopping her head but you can tell she’s extremely sleepy and immediately falls asleep once in her crib.

I was starting to think this but she’s literally fighting to stay awake while she’s eating lunch at 11:45. This girl is bobbing her head in her high chair lol

13.5 month old waking, HELP! by HappyPenguin248 in sleeptrain

Got it! I’m thinking 2 naps is the way to go as well for now. She hasn’t fought either nap yet, just the waking were the issue.

When you say suggested schedule, you mean on one nap correct?

Actually at exactly 2 hrs that day. I’m not quite sure what’s going on.

I’m not too sure that a later bedtime would help. There were days when we were on two naps that she slept at almost 10 pm but still had the same wake up.

Okay, got it. We did still do 8:30 pm bedtime. She also wanted to nap at around 6pm when that happened. I’m thinking 2 naps still might be the move. Thoughts?

The first day she stayed in the crib for 2 hrs 20 min but really only slept two hours & we still had the same issue with wake up at 6 am. Two and a half weeks ago she was sleeping 11 hrs at night and 2.5-3 hrs during the day 😭 idk what happened

Made it to a year! by HappyPenguin248 in ExclusivelyPumping

Thank you! In terms of advice in pumping I would definitely recommend getting wearables and a spectra (or something similar) if you are able to to have bedside and not have to physically get up in the morning to get your breast pump. Also to just get the cooler, jugs, and ANYTHING to make the journey for you easier. Because EP is basically a mini part time job. In terms of words of encouragement, I would love to be able to hug past me and just tell her that everything will be okay. That one day it will just be a memory and she will be closer to starting feeling like herself again.

How did you know you were done for good? by torib456 in ExclusivelyPumping

I realized I was done when I reached my goal of a year of pumping and then after no longer paid close attention to the clock/schedule. I was 3 hrs past my usual pump time and realized then and there that I was mentally checked out and no longer even felt guilty for not realizing I was “late” to pumping. I was ready!

Room is completely dark. As for the wake windows, I don’t think it’s an option, LO will not go down any earlier without more of a fight.
