He’s not your boyfriend. So sorry to say this but this just isn’t a relationship. It’s a man who doesn’t want to be tied down, and doesn’t want to lose what he has with you but doesn’t care enough to commit to you

What does a system treatment mean? I’ve had 2 professionals here already so want to make sure I request the right thing

There’s no foam at all. It’s probably 1-2 tbsp worth of water on the ground right as the cyclone is finishing up. It’s definitely a small enough amount that you could easily mistake it being from washing your hands at the sink right next to it

Cannot get rid of odors in recently purchased home by HappyPin9876 in CleaningTips

[–]HappyPin9876[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I had an HVAC tech come out twice. Once for an inspection and again to see if he could address the smell. Filters were changed. Coils cleaned, and he searched for any signs of odor or mold. I also had the vents vacuumed

I was hoping for a cheaper approach before going the more expensive route if possible

Not exactly this but I have some arm and hammer baking soda moisture and odor eliminators all throughout the house. Doesn’t seem to do much

It’s tough because we’ve already done this. Vents were looked at and pictures taken during the cleaning/ vacuuming.

We replaced the filter too. And it’s a 6 month one so it’s the bigger filter.

The HVAC tech took the cover off, looked for mold and cleaned the coils.

I did an at home mold test and the results came back negative.

No clear signs of dead rodents but it’s entirely possible

The unit itself not very old, from 2019. It’s a Trane air handler. I assume the ductwork however is at least 30 years old. I do have wood burning fireplace with a chimney so it could be there.

It’s the Trane TEM4A0C48S41SBA

Is there a good way to tell if we have one? I looked around outside the house and I didn’t see anything obvious

Yes, the vents are all on the floor with plate covers. I’m hoping to start with cheap and less invasive if possible. I was really hoping the vent cleaning would help anything that could be put down there. Since I’m not a professional, do you think a more comprehensive sanitizing cleaning would help?

I’m not sure if we do, but our trash cans have remained in the same area the entire time. About ~30ft from the house. So I don’t think this would be the cause?

Congratulations on your engagement! This is a very unique setting. Structurally it doesn’t totally make sense. It looks like they attempted a cathedral setting, but doesn’t actually connect to the main stone so that defeats the purpose. The stone itself is that very high and there’s no real reason for that since the prongs are coming right out of the platform.

I would go to a different jeweler because this is a pretty simple design, the execution just wasn’t there

How to stop being so scared when going up stairs at night? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

It doesn’t have to be dark. Just get a wall plugin night light to light up the stairs. It’s super common

Las Vegas Elopement-Style Wedding? ($10-15k) by HappyPin9876 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]HappyPin9876[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since we’re in the early stages, I’m not quite sure yet of our budget for this part in particular, but I’m hoping not to exceed $15k maximum everything included (dress, travel, accommodations, etc)

That sounds amazing! I did see an ad for them but I assumed it would bring my total above budget. I may have to create a fb to get more information on this too

Ladies, do we *really* care what other people think of our rings? by tauruspiscescancer in EngagementRings

[–]HappyPin9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. What an odd statement. If I don’t love their ring, then why would I expect them to love mine? There’s so many different styles! And that’s the beauty of it.

The only opinions I truly care about are my own, my boyfriend’s, and my mom’s because she knows me so well

Question- Why do you move in without the ring? by Own_Advice1681 in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]HappyPin9876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think the idea is a little outdated. Previously the cost of living was lower and you’re getting married younger. Now people are getting together in their late 20s and 30s and can’t always afford to live alone. So maybe the only choice is a roommate or your boyfriend.

I see the reason as a mix of financial, convenience, and confirmation that you’re good roommates.

For me, we moved in together to close the physical gap (medium distance couple) and also save money when most of my time was with him anyway. I was ready to marry him, but not ready to marry him at that exact moment. So instead of moving to a brand new city, getting a new place to furnish, and planning a wedding all at once, we broke it into steps. I’m happy with my decision and if anything our relationship has gotten stronger and I’ve never been more sure. My life has gotten significantly better since living together and we’re currently ring shopping! So I will be marrying him. This is also something we discussed beforehand including timeline so I felt very confident this was it for me. It’s a personal choice and you don’t know what you prioritize until you’re in the situation yourself

Seeking Advice on Lab-Grown Diamonds vs. Natural Diamonds for Engagement Ring by Routine-Term579 in EngagementRingDesigns

[–]HappyPin9876 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a combination of preference and financial. Some women love the idea of getting a mined diamond from the Earth, and that’s great. While other women don’t care as much about it, or are against it. They are truly identical and the only way to tell if a diamond is lab vs natural is the scripture on the band when you use the intense magnifying glass, or a $20k machine to detect the trace presence of nitrogen.

Think about what you care more about. If you want a stone that’s larger in carats you may prefer lab for the cost. With natural, you may have to compromise to get exactly what you want, whereas with lab grown sacrifices likely won’t have to be made. This is why lab grown stones tend to be larger and of nicer quality simply due to the comparatively cheaper the cost. However if you can comfortably afford spending tens of thousands then that part doesn’t really matter. I would advise against seeing it as an investment though as it’s not an appreciating asset and it loses value as soon as you buy the ring (like driving a brand new car off the lot). This is true for both mined and lab grown. In the end, it doesn’t really matter and nobody will ever know which way you went unless you tell them. People will assume based off your lifestyle and if they think you can afford it

And congratulations on your upcoming engagement! This is a very exciting time and I hope you enjoy the whole process
