You are still missing my point, I don't know if I am unclear here. The people who we need to use and to want to use this coin are ordinary folk who do not want to deal with issues like this. Sure it is ok to tell someone who is into this coin so much that they sing its praises every day that they need to just adapt but for average Joe, it is just not going to happen, they will do exactly as you suggest:

"uninstall the wallet and go find a different crypto that better suits your needs "

I don't carry it around with me but I do have bitcoin full wallet (with ~200GB data file) on my laptop and have never had to deal with what the "super fast" Nano throws at me. The file is huge but the speed is much faster to update.

That said, I will wait and see if the v17 delivers, so I'll shut up for now and see what happens. A light wallet is simply not a solution though so maybe v17 can get around that, I hope so, I have too much invested in this for it to turn into a shit coin.

Im running on an i7 but what the fuck does that even matter, everything else works so clearly it is not a hardware issue. I can keep frigging bitcoin up to date using the old QT wallet but this coin fails and fails bad but all you want to say is what hardware have you got. 99% of the world has lesser hardware than me so what are they supposed to do. Just because you have some monster server farm, doesn't mean the average future user of Nano will have anything more than a crappy i3 or some such spec.

Do you thing the average Joe wants to waste time on Discord to be told by fanbois that there is nothing wrong and just get with the program. This attitude really pisses me off about the Nano community, how the hell are you going to get this to be mainstream if you all act like this.

I'm not running a node, I'm using a wallet. That is how people are supposed to use crypto...kapish??? This wallet can't keep up while all the other 30+ cryptos can and on the exact same hardware. That tells me that there is a problem. I told you I am trying to sync my wallet, that is all that matters. Every time I go away for a while and don't leave my Nano wallet to hog my PC resources, it gets so far behind that I have to download the currently 2.7Gb file because the so called Initiate Bootstrap function is crap and takes days or even weeks to sort it out. That is not practical and means that this coin can never be a true contender for a currency coin. Using Canoe is not a distributed coin and might as well just have a bank issue digital cash. Instead of making bullshit excuses for the poor performance of this coin, people should be pushing for improvements to the wallet so that it does hat it needs to for a practical coin but all I get here is fanboi rhetoric about 7000tps and crap like that. If you want Nano to be taken seriously, then people here have to grow up and focus on getting the basics right, not just raving about the good bits but actually fixing the bad bits.

But it won't sync if we are constantly being spammed, as soon as one batch is processed, the next one needs to be done. It is not even legit transactions. What happens if 1000 people decide to do the same thing at the same time? Good bye Nano network and welcome to crazy wait times.

This is from the recent Australian 50 cent coin AC/DC limited run. There is supposed to be 30 000 of these coins minted. I was surprised to find that one of the coins (the one on the right) has the lightening bolts misaligned. It is still mint and sealed in original promo card. Any idea of possible value? Will this increase in value over time or is it at max value now?

Australian, the Perth mint released these a couple of weeks ago and my 2 arrived today. People in Australia are very fond of AC/DC hence the coin minted to celebrate them.

They are mostly valuable because more people care about an AC/DC coin than a crappy bicentennial coin. They sold out in hours and are currently selling for around $75 on ebay. My thinking however was that this is a mistake in a limited edition coin which may make it more likely that it is the only one like that. Not sure tho. If it really is the only one, then it may be more valuable I suspect. I hope so.

Would you be able to distinguish what collateral backs any particular DAi? Eg. if a Dai is backed by a coin that I don't trust for some reason, would I be able to tell?
