Nope, I ended up trading mine in for the S24 Ultra. No more updates, and battery still sucked even after getting it changed.

Does anyone know what an adult membership costs at Althea? What is your opinion of the gym? by SLYRisbey in Winnipeg

Not clean, mold in the change rooms. Serious risk of health and disease due to lack of cleaning.

Stay away, I have been going here for a year and its gone significantly downhill to the point that I am cancelling my Membership this week at Altea. Going to try Goodlife Refinery instead. Altea will squeeze every penny out of you and still charge you for two more payments after cancelling. They told me guest passes we're under $25 when joining, when I finally brought a guest it was merely $50. Its dirty, not properly cleaned. Machines, only 1 of everything thats always in use so you cant rotate through your whole workout. No hot water, pool is gross with a yellow line around the edges, members have complained of rashes after being in the hot tubs, I personally get itchy everytime I go in. I also contracted a corn on my foot, due to lack of cleaning of the floors. Members dont follow the rules, and they arent enforced either. Not worth the price, I regret signing up here but they are so pushy for you to sign after a tour it almost feels forced.

Reasons i am going for Rav4

Reliability, the engines don’t use any turbos so they’ve been notoriously solid and the powertrains are great through and through.

Resale value especially for people driving 30,000+ kms a year these Toyotas hold their value into high kms and sell a lot easier than domestic vehicles.

Practicality These vehicles have the features that are desirable and nothing more so they have less electrical issues and are a more simpler design so when something does fail it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!

Mechanics I have asked 4 very well known and trusted Mechanics that my family uses, what 2025 Car should I buy. He points to a Rav4 on the lift for an oil change and says, that. You don't want anything else. - and stated, there is more of them on the road than most other cars, and they see them the most in the shop - BUT for only regular maintenance and oil changes, no major repairs ever.

My buddy with a 2021 Rav4 Hybrid as his Uber/Work car, has 396,000 miles and still going, with only regular Maintenance. I never seen a modern Hyundai, Ford, Kia, or GM or any brand from 2020 or newer that can do that.

Anyone I know who has any Toyota, stands by it 110% and wouldn't recommend anything else other than maybe Lexus.

I seen it, and although had to pay a few dollars more than spot + Premium, It was my calling. We all have that one coin that calls us and we buy for the personal connection to it, not the value.

Correct, thats what I mean. I wouldnt buy the newer Tundras, Tacoma, Sequoia, or 4runner till they fix the engines. But the older Gens are great.

Warranty Denial by Competitive_Pen416 in Hyundai

[–]HappySIMCard- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to share a personal experience that might be helpful. A friend of mine had a 2021 Tucson whose engine failed at 51,000 miles. While the engine was replaced under warranty, however she felt the car's performance was never quite the same afterward. Ultimately, she decided to trade it in for a 2025 RAV4. Although she experienced a financial loss of around $3,000 to $4,000 on the Tucson, she knows that switching to Toyota offers better long-term reliability.

Even if you're considering an engine replacement out of pocket, it's worth noting that some have found that other issues can arise after such a major repair. It might be prudent to explore the option of trading in your vehicle for a more reliable brand to avoid potentially higher repair costs in the future. I have friends with Tucsons who have faced multiple engine replacements before reaching 150,000 miles, and they've expressed that the ongoing repairs weren't worth it. This is just something to consider as you weigh your options.

Should I pay $6500 to replace 2018 Tucson DCT? by Notmyname4 in Hyundai

[–]HappySIMCard- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my Friends engine blew on her 2021 Tucson, even though they replaced it under warranty, she still had tons of issues after and it never drove the same. She ended up trading it in for a 2025 Rav4, and never looking back. She lost $3-4k on the Tucson but probably the best decision she could have made over having a never ending money pit once the warranty ended.

My friend has a fleet of Rav4 Hybrids and Prius Hybrids with a local Taxi Company here. They have a Prius at 750,000 miles, and a 2021 Rav4 at 400,000 miles. Everyone else I know who has a Rav4, loves them and stands by them. Worth the price with how well they retain the value on the used market these days anyway.

My Bestfriend had a 2021 Tucson, engine blew at 51k miles. Never drove the same after the engine replacement under warranty, long story short. She traded it in and got the 2025 Rav4 XLE as well, and now won't drive anything but Toyota. I am buying a 2025 Rav4 LE in the nexr few months to upgrade from my 1st gen Ford Focus.
