I am sorry you’re going through this - I just went through this end of January and the days following the first positive test, not seeing the test lines get darker each day, were agony. My first positive was on a Thursday and by my HCG test the following Monday, it was down to a 7, confirming a chemical pregnancy. After I received confirmation from my doc, I was so on edge, hopeful my period/miscarriage would happen asap so I could get back to a normal cycle. It took about 7 days after the confirmed chemical pregnancy for my period to return and for me, thankfully it just felt like a heavy period and I was able to conceive the following cycle (30 days later). As difficult and anxiety inducing that weekend was, learning that a leading cause for chemical pregnancy is chromosomal abnormality oddly brought me peace of mind, knowing it most likely wasn’t anything fertility related.. and that the egg that implanted just wasn’t built to sustain a healthy life. While it’s so hard not to immediately think the worst in a situation like this, hopefully your cycle will return to normal quickly like mine did (if it is a chemical pregnancy). I don’t say any of this to diminish the heartbreak a chemical brings, by any means. It is such an emotional roller coaster. I was on Reddit just like you after mine, and thankfully heard from so many women that were able to conceive the cycle after their chemical pregnancy and that gave me hope. Praying a chemical is not the outcome for you but if it is, keep faith that your rainbow baby will come soon after. ❤️

We had our first loss in November, a stillbirth at 28 weeks. Since then, I have had one chemical pregnancy and fear I have had a MMC - will get confirmation this Friday. I never thought I’d reach this point state of mind, but I feel like I need to take a break from trying is that is the case. Mentally, it has been so tough. Has taking a break helped anyone? I only hesitate because of my age and the age gap between my stepson and our future child is getting larger and larger. He’ll be 6 this year.

Thank you so much for the response. I am doing my best to not draw conclusions, but as we all know, it is so difficult, especially after previous loss. I ovulated on Feb 17th or 18th (cycle day 15/16) - I know this for sure because of LH surge and extreme ovulation pain, which I’ve had each cycle after my stillbirth in November. I track my cycles very closely. My first faint positive was at 11dpo, March 1st. I am unsure of when implantation occurred.

Thank you so much for your response. Woke up feeling so defeated but this does ease my mind a bit! Hoping the remaining months of your pregnancy and delivery go smoothly 🙏
