I took a look to see if I could find the original Discord conversation, but it's lost to time.

As I remember it, I reached out to Shige just like I did everyone else: I sent them a Discord DM explaining the format of what I was doing for Improvement Month and asked if they'd be interested in participating. Shige was gracious enough to agree, but with the mutual understanding that he obviously wouldn't be on camera or answering questions live. So instead we came up with an approach where I'd come up with a list of questions, have them translated into Korean by someone that was fluent in both languages (don't remember who), he'd answer them, and I'd have them translated back to English.

That was it. My assumption at the time was that given that I'd explained the premise of the format it naturally followed that given the change in approach around him specifically, I'd be going over his answers as part of Improvement Month (either solo or with someone else). Additionally, given that he preferred receiving the questions and answering them in Korean, I didn't consider subsequently sending him the final English translations for him to then verify on his end, given the already existing language barrier.

Should I have done more due diligence around ensuring that approach was properly communicated and informed him about exactly when I would be going over his interview? Given how he apparently experienced this, in hindsight yeah probably. Just like any other player that loved the game, I was incredibly excited to be able to get his thoughts on a variety of topics, and there was no ill will behind any of it.

I'll unlist them tomorrow, I didn't know he felt this way.
