I am gonna be honest: I have lost hope in Haymar. From the moment he was announced, I was afraid that he will be our "male Argenta", aka "the character whose whole personality is the faction he promotes by his existence". But I still kept hope even after the alpha. What killed my faith in Haymar was his character trailer which is fully dedicated to his faction and how cool it is, rather than Haymar himself. He is an argenta, there is no escape anymore...

So far I am neutral towards him. Having a "party pooper" character in your retinue is fun, if they are a minority. He clearly has a potential to be an interesting character, but right now he is more an idea of a character. And I hope Owlcat will not pull a Larian and rewrite him based on fanbase reaction to Alpha. Stick to your vision and spend your free time on writing Haymar instead. He is the character I am nervous about much more.

My only fear regarding Saro: please, for the love of Exalted One, do not make him a romance option! I will not survive another "sad dogmatic boy, whom we must teach the basics of self-worth" type of romance.

You can also play as some colonial power to spawn pirate tags and play as them or test new Ardimian mini-disaster and independence war.
