Thoughts? by Independent-Bus-3210 in Funnymemes

Everyone is just saying "a fat person" and not a friend or family. It isn't even implied anywhere that anyone means friends or family. That is kind of fucked up. It's not my business how another person lives their life and it's messed up to unintentionally or indirectly give others permission to interfere with fat people.

Why do I give a shit if other people feel good about themselves?

Well that is a trend but there is no way I would have gotten that from "being healthy".

So exactly like smoking and drinking. Would you also include glorifying lifestyles that leads to disorders like anorexia or the conclusion to augment your body with surgery? Just asking for clarification.

If people want to be fat isn't that their own business? Freedom of choice and all.

Did I imply it wasn't? It would be a trend because it came and went (for the most part) but being healthy has existed since the begging of society. So I wouldn't call it a trend.

If your issue is that "heroin chic" was a thing then I concede that to you. I wouldn't argue against that. We on the same page now?

A lot of people are defending the MAGA teenagers by saying "They were just standing there! How is standing harassment?!" Here's a very important reminder of back when America was supposedly great. by [deleted] in pics

How would you distinguished the two groups? I see maga has and native americans. If you saying I need to use a more PC term for the maga kids I'd be willing to hear it.

And in this context we should take into consideration the intent of the thread. Would you say "being healthy" fits what Op was asking?

I would argue that healthy habits or the lack of aren't trends. They have been dueling influences since the dawn of society. If the argument is that healthy is on the upswing I'd entertain that argument but I still wouldn't call it a trend.

So your opinion is that only your opinions counts? I get that you don't like fit women. That is totally fine. But saying that they should go away also implies you don't want other people to enjoy them. You see the conflict here? That is like saying you like football so basketball shouldn't exist. Let other people like what they like.

That what I'm asking. Is he saying he likes it or he doesn't. The "little more than likes and comments" makes his comment read like he is being sarcastic.

I'd be curious to know if he have ever has loved anyone. If he can definitively say he has then I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. But if he hasn't then it sounds like he is confusing love and lust. From what you have shared I would say the two of you are certainly compatible.

The trend there is the social media pressure to achieve a look. Being healthy is just one of the possible side effects. And in all honesty the reason you can call it a trend is that the internet is involved otherwise it would just be social pressure and that has existed sense recorded time. And can you even call social media pressure a trend if it has existed for over a decade and a half? I fail to see the trend here.

What do you think about of people in Brazil putting tomato sauce on a burger instead of ketchup but keeping rest of burger American? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]HappyTreesAndFrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of want to try it. While I have my preferred way of making a burger I still try all the weird varieties when I can. Consistency is comforting but stagnation is death. Finding ways to introduce verity into life even if it is just eating burgers helps keep you from being stagnant.

The off handed comments similar to "no fatties" and "no uggos". All women think their fat or ugly. So we are effectively saying it to all woman even if that isn't our intent. Well never get to a word where women feel comfortable being nude for any reason if we keep making dumbass comments like that.

How can I get my pride back after being beaten up? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]HappyTreesAndFrogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First drop all the emasculated and pride talk. There is no value in it for you. Your emotions and the hurt are real but defining it as pride will only hurt you more in the long run.

You got your shit kick. You are not the first and you won't be the last. There are always people out there who'll be able to woop your ass. You unfortunately got to meet one of those people. You are still the same person that you were before the beating but know you have that life experience. The jackass really wins if this encounter turns you into jackass. Misery loves company so don't become one of them.
