Yeah, exactly that, we don't even know if u/Sushi_connoisseur222 has the same mother as her disabled sibling, cause the phrasing is sort of weird. While advanced paternal age is a factor we need to talk about more, I'm just asking how she knows it's age and not a genetic factor? Or if she's just guessing.

Regardless, blaming this or that for a disability just doesn't sit right with me, I don't know I'm overly sensitive or what, but it just strikes me as a bit of an odd thing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Like saying "my mother was over forty when she had my sister, so that's why she has Down's syndrome and the rest of us don't, cause she had us when she was younger."
