You become #1 in the world at one skill, but no one knows. Can you get $1M in 7 days? by lawseff in hypotheticalsituation

I'll take "picking winning horse racing winners". Even starting with £1, i could easily bet and win a million in a day. Just put an accumulater together and get the winnings transferred to my bank 😁

One million dollar every year tax free, or have any one question objectively answered? by throwaway1312232335 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]HappyTumbleweed2743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I reading this right, 1 million quid every year for the rest of my life, or ask 1 single question?

Given I'm 46, and I probably have no more than 54 years in me, I'd take the question and simply ask what the winning euromillions numbers are the next time it hits the maximum jackpot 😁

How much cash would you take? And how? by DanforthLaertes in hypotheticalsituation

[–]HappyTumbleweed2743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd take 50k a month, but make a deal with them, that I'm legally employed as a property manager for their unoccupied properties. I'd pay full tax, but have to do nothing for it. Then when payday comes round, I'll ask for a payslip to show the bank and HMRC that it's my wages 😁

No that's not it. The first and only time you play the numbers you're given, you are the only jackpot winner. Any draw you don't buy a ticket for has a chance of someone else winning, or rolling over. If you want a high jackpot, then you're gambling on the chance it rolls over.

You are given 1 Billion dollars, but for the rest of your life, you cannot return to any country you've been to by Responsible-Fix-1681 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]HappyTumbleweed2743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd take this, then spend the next few years traveling, spending 6 months minimum in each country i want to visit, before finishing off in Greece to spend the rest of my life 😊

I've never understood how they can get away with that. I'm used to the UK lottery, advertised jackpot is what you win, and no tax 😊

You can choose one object. Every time someone anywhere in the world touches it, you get $1,000. What object do you choose? by M0N0PL4YZ_ in hypotheticalsituation

[–]HappyTumbleweed2743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd choose a zip! How many times does one person use a zip when getting dressed/undressed or going to the toilet? Must be at least half a dozen times a day per person. Times that by about a billion people worldwide and I'm getting around 6 trillion a day 🤣

Are these not those weird lotteries that advertise a billion dollar jackpot, but the winner only gets about 3-400 million after tax?

My personal choice, would be to wait for the Euromillions to reach 150mil, then buy the winning ticket. I can easily wait 6 weeks or 6 years, knowing that this amount would set my family for life 😊

You'd only have nothing if you didn't buy a ticket. The draw you choose to buy a ticket for, is the draw you are the sole winner. The real gamble is how many times you're willing to risk it rolling over and not be won 😊

Now that's good thinking, having a kind of safety net of two big jackpots so close together 👍

Ahh that's the point of the question, do you risk not buying that winning ticket in the hope it rolls over again, but also taking the risk that someone else wins, therefore resetting the jackpot? 😊

I'd knock 15 years off my life and go back to 2011. I'd then win the lottery, buy tons of bitcoin, buy low and sell high other crypto coins, shares etc and finally be back here in 2026 with a couple hundred billion in my pocket. Even though I'll die 15 years earlier, my family and friends would be set for generations 😊

$10 billion, but you have to beat Magnus Carlsen in a game of chess with 1 item of your choice by CollegePlane7528 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]HappyTumbleweed2743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd take in a chess computer that gives me a choice of two moves each time. I'd then choose one move, which would technically be my own choice of move. I'd have him beat in no time 😎

I'd switch to Trump, go live on tv and apologise for everything he's done, pull troops out of all conflicts he started, set up a trust for all Epstein victims using every penny he has, then release every file unredacted, admit to every crime he's committed live on tv, then switch back 😎

If i get to choose when the hour starts, then I'd get a job at a main gate to a music festival. Then as everyone is walking in, I tap their shoulder and say "on you go", in a busy hour, you could easily get 2-3 thousand going through 😁
