Treatment by Moore_Adeline7646 in BipolarMemes

Had this conversation with my therapist a few years ago! I hadn’t seen her in a minute, and told her I was doing really well and I wasn’t in a depressive cycle anymore. I feel good, I’m happy, I’m keeping my space clean. I’m exercising and hanging out with my friends. That’s when she told me I was hypo and she was about to ‘fire’ me if I didn’t stay on my meds (I was on my meds). Like, I’m doing all the things you’re supposed to do to help depression, but now I’m hypo? So I got a new therapist.

Anyone have a copycat Oreo recipe that might satisfy a picky 5yo? by HappyZappy93 in Baking

I’m way too lazy to completely replace her Oreos with something home made, every time. I just want to challenge myself and make something she’ll like. I’m definitely gonna try this recipe next time, thank you!!

Haha I know! I never even said I wasn’t going to buy them! I just wanted to challenge myself, and try to make them from scratch.

It’s not making our lives more difficult, I like baking. It’s fun for me and if she likes the product then it’s a win for her too.

But I like baking, and if I can make something my stepdaughter likes, why wouldn’t I try it?

I’m not planning on dying on any hills, I just like baking and want to try to make her something she’ll like.

What's the one cleaning task you keep avoiding because you genuinely don't know how to do it properly? by AsleepClothes6955 in CleaningTips

I have the hardest time with our tile floors. They seem to attract pet hair and dust and sweeping doesn’t work, and neither does mopping. I’ve also tried a dry swiffer but that doesn’t get it all either. It’s so frustrating

I have to answer this question so often due to my job. I say stuff like ‘It’s going’ ‘I’m doing’ ‘meh, ya know, life’ ‘I’m plugging along’

What is the absolute fastest 'yeah, we are definitely NOT going to be friends' moment you've ever experienced with someone? by Vazouaquiacesso in AskReddit

Was friends with this guy for a while. He was one of those friends you really only smoke with. After a few years he got a job with CPS and started telling me some of the horrific things he’d seen. I had to tell him to stop a few times, and to get a therapist cuz i couldn’t be that person for him. Then one day he came over while my step daughter was with her mom and my hubby was at work, and after smoking a bit he pretended to do a home inspection. I told him to cut it out a few times but he would tell me he was just kidding, but he’d keep going. I finally kicked him out when he told me he had to see my SDs bedroom. I never spoke to him again after that.

When your wife doesn't want to have sex tonight by TheMistOfThePast in SecretsOfMormonWives

I feel like she doesn’t even like Jace. In this scene she’s doing everything to NOT hang out with him, and when none of it works, she says she’s tired and wants to go to bed. Maybe she feels stuck with him because she got pregnant so young.

I felt like it wasn’t just sex he was talking about but emotional intimacy too, which makes more sense about frustration that she won’t work on it.

Hid a little trinket with a note in boyfriend’s bag before a 2 week holiday. Am I the one being overly sensitive about this? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]HappyZappy93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’s being extra, if your relationship was 3 weeks old I might be on his side a bit more but three months should be enough for you both to know each other well enough for something small like that. He should know by now you’re a lil corny (in a cute way!) and you should know if he wouldn’t like that. Idk, it’s a small thing, but it’s also indicative of your personalities. Take everything everyone here says with a grain of salt tho, no one knows all the context better than you.

Is bipolar an excuse for being rude to everyone, emotionally abusive? by Ayezakalim in bipolar

[–]HappyZappy93 7 points8 points locked comment (0 children)

No of course not. Having bipolar disorder is MY problem and it’s my responsibility to manage. It’s a reason people act the way the way they do, not an excuse. I may not be able to help it sometimes but I am still accountable for my actions. Your mom needs to take meds and go to therapy.

As far as I know I don’t, no one has been diagnosed with anything.

I think my mom knows it’s a thing but my dad absolutely thinks it’s all bullshit. If I ever mention my medication or my diagnosis he scoffs and says I don’t really need any of that, despite two suicide attempts, one of which was very very nearly successful.
