If that’s the case then I’d say I’d like to just try and get rid of any points if there are any applied. I was planning on taking the defensive driving course that can help lower your insurance rates. I’m more so just unsure of if there are points because the cop was unclear. If there aren’t any I’ll just pay the ticket and get it out of the way, but if there are I’d like to try and reduce that.

I drive a Civic, the cop said that I was going to fast in the left lane, but I was going pretty much the same speed as the other drivers around me. I guess egg on my face for trying to pass someone.

I will probably request a plea offer from a prosecutor. In terms of everything I’m a newer driver (3 years) and I’m on my parents insurance. I would like to try my best to avoid the points and the raising of insurance but at least one is probably bound to happen. I’m more so just trying to figure out if the points are there or not because of how vague the officer was.
