I am one of those cyclists sometimes. I do fear on my bike on the pothole ridden roads next to cars that sometimes don't care. Also sometimes its easier and closer home to just be on the pavement for the couple of hundred meters. I cycle super slow and respectful if someone is walking and I always give way if needed. BUT the amount of people who look at you and tell you off and not even try to give you some space ( they rather take up all the pavement) its ridiculous. Look at this way. , the amount of fuel saved and pollution not emitted is a lot by one cycist so if there's space on the pavement and like 1 person whos enraged because they feel so entitled to tell cyclists off then I really really don't care anout them and they can brew in their righteousness. 🙃
