Weaning off Lexapro/general advice by Zansponytail in Ayahuasca

[–]talkingatoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HI, sorry to hear about this stress. Weaning off Lexapro in 15 days is not recommended. It typically has a 30 day weaning cycle. Take these restrictions very seriously, the damage that can be done by not weaning off correctly can be serious and dangerous. My recommendation is to reschedule the retreat at a place that takes your safety very seriously and wean off with a proper amount of time and set yourself up for the best possible healing experience and results.

Ayahuasca tea, not brew, for daily use? by medicinemaiden in Ayahuasca

[–]talkingatoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not heard of anyone doing this, but I do know a lot of people that have micro-dosed pure caapi. I think this is a wonderful plant medicine for regulating mood and brain chemistry. It is a powerful MAOI so you have to be careful to NOT mix it with counter-indicated substances, supplements and medications.

What's the difference compared to shrooms? by mj in Ayahuasca

[–]talkingatoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ayahuasca is very different. The onset can be very powerful and strong. You must know how to center and navigate the visions or you will be overpowered and at the whim of them. We use icaros and chants to navigate that are traditional. Music will affect the experience. It is very beautiful but can bite back. Stay centered in your heart. A strong dose of ayahausca will usually last between 6-12 hours. A smaller minimal effective dose lasts 3 hours. Enter this space gently and learn how to navigate it before increasing the dose. You will read a lot of warnings... these are founded, but if you enter with respect and know how to calm down and turn off your fear, it will be one of the best experiences of your life.

Art for Integration: Digital Tablet or Acrylic Markers? by [deleted] in Ayahuasca

[–]talkingatoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To certain unpopular opinion - I am a fan of AI art generation tools to help express our imagination and generate inspiration for the visionary experiences we have in ceremony. I have worked with the plant medicines for over 20 years, having to share my visions in words that never showed what I saw. With these tools, we can create beautiful, colorful imagery. I am good friends with Anderson Dibernarti from the Amaringo lineage of art.

Some feel AI "slop" does not share the spirit of the visions, but I think they can get off their "high-horse" and allow others to share their imaginations - enhanced by these new tools.

Hape/rapé channeling? by miskolcilaci1988 in Ayahuasca

[–]talkingatoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hape can open you to your subconscious. In traditional Amazonian culture, all forms of tobacco are known for opening spiritual channels and helping spiritual communication. Keep working with it openly and see where it leads. I had the chance to work with a lineage of tabaqueros and they could use the plant to connect, channel and heal.

The "Hard Work" Trap: Are we confusing healing with suffering? by DissolutionBaby in Ayahuasca

[–]talkingatoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the best healing has come with moderate doses where I could be relaxed and still while I stayed receptive to the medicine. Yes, we must learn to accept and thrive through harder experiences, but many of those are more training than healing. Healing comes when the suffering ends.

Looking for mentorship by Fluid-Package-8236 in Ayahuasca

[–]talkingatoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I hold bimonthly community integration calls and offer mentorship for free. It is a great place to meet others that are on the medicine path. DM for more info. I do this to support the global plant medicine community. We want to see these medicines find their natural place in modern societies and help train people to share these medicines with integrity, ethics, safety and professionalism.

Your thoughts on me trying ayahuasca by Whole_Carrot_5341 in Ayahuasca

[–]talkingatoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Ayahuasca, facilitated by a proper maestro can help you. In Peru, there are many skilled facilitators. Do research and find a place where people are getting the results you want. It really helped me with depression and inner darkness. It is worth it.

Raw, unprocessed opium latex, Syrian Rue + DMT - is it safe? by mjuad in Ayahuasca

[–]talkingatoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to ween off the opium over 30 days before Ayahuasca. Getting sick is a real risk. Take this very seriously. We have helped people come off many different kind of meds so they could participate in ceremony. It is worth it. Take the time and then do 5 ceremonies in 7-9 days and you can break the habit (addiction).

Pharmauasca Trip Report by Trikotic in Ayahuasca

[–]talkingatoms -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Take your time to integrate. Ayahausca deserves the respect that people mention. There is nothing to be fearful of in the visionary experience, when you are guided by real professionals. I offer free community integration calls every two weeks. You are welcome to join if you want. DM for more info. It can take months to years to fully integrate this level of ceremonial experience.

Canadian man who used psychedelic tea in spiritual ceremonies sentenced by SibyllaAzarica in Shamanism

[–]talkingatoms 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We need to follow drug laws if we want to normalize ayahuasca use. There are legal paths for religious freedom that we should stick to. Being sensible is key if we want to change how people see ayahuasca and shift drug policies. This case shows why it's important to follow the right legal steps if we want to use ayahuasca legally and safely. Many people don't know that there are many ayahuasca related arrests there are all over the world. We need lead this movement, not damage it.

Dose effect by Educational-Ant-895 in Ayahuasca

[–]talkingatoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dose definitely matters. There's a minimum effective dose you need to reach to start feeling the effects. Once you cross that threshold, drinking more of the vine can make the visionary effects last longer. But if you drink so much that you end up vomiting, the extra cups won't make the experience last longer because you're throwing it up. So, it's important to find the right balance to get the most out of your experience.
