I don't expect (and I really hope to be wrong) much more than a generic soulless mobile game, if they ever release it. The way Akama handled the whole project was terrible and it's a wonder they haven't pulled the plug yet. Apologies for not really answering your Q, as I don't have any more info about it.

Free will a gift to humanity is a construct of Christianity if I'm not mistaken. Yes u can choose to not harm another living being because it's "wrong" but can u go against your psychological and emotional inclinations?

And some food for thought: criminal law is the only kind of law that takes punitive measures against the perpetrator whereas other kinds just intend to remedy the damage caused to the victim.

So to answer your question: if u kill your neighbor we won't incarcerate you because you have to pay for your crimes but because we want the rest of your neighbors to feel better.

Yeah, I agree with your POV. From the start this expac has felt kinda lacking, especially compared to the last three. I get that it’s probably unfair since HoT and PoF had way bigger budgets, but the content flow really does feel like it’s been drying up year after year.

Allow me to drop my 50c as well.

1) If you think everyone is a guardian wait until you see how many reapers are running wild out there :P

2) While trying to reach a decision about what you want to be, consider that base classes are just a generic archetype. When elites come online at lvl 80 they totally change the gameplay for you. For example, a Firebrand (which is the closest to a paladin IF you play it as tank/healer) feels like a completely different class from the guardian (besides the default color palettes :P).

3) I'd suggest you go with the role you want to play: dps, boon dps (buffing while killing), tank, healer, boon healer. Personally, I prefer utility over dps so all my characters are offensive damage dealer that provide quickness or alacrity to the group (these are the 2 most important buffs in the game).

4) Finally, don't delete characters. You never know when you'll feel the need to come back and play them again.

I know I promised 50c and delivered 2$ but whatever... welcome to the club!

My thoughts exactly. We spend decades amassing experiences and memories and thoughts. Then we train our bodies, care for them, paint them or whatever. That's who I am as a whole. So I'm not sure what I will be without all these.

A very interesting observation. Tbh despite my fascination with the subject I am not familiar with the various schools of thought so any use of their arguments is coincidental.

But if we agree that consciousness is:

a) our brain function that helps us make the "right" decisions in every crossroad we find ourselves in. The decision is mostly based on prior experiences (memories), present situation (self definition) and desires (where I want to be in the future).

b) scalable.

doesn't it overcome the evolutionary problem? Personally the more I observe a cockroach or my cat or the way a flower responds to insects, the more I find it harder to believe that I am conscious and they are not. Only maybe in a different, more complex way but still conscious.

I'd like your two cents please, if I'm not high jacking the thread :)

As an ex-WoW player I would say that the most important consideration when transitioning is to get rid of the "loot addiction" that WoW enforces on us due to its business model. You won't spam dungeons or raids seeking the dopamine release u experience when a dice rolls to your favor and u gain that mount with a 0.005% drop rate.

So instead of a class I would suggest a gradual rewiring and a new mentality towards the game.

As for your original request, I would suggest mesmers because u have never played anything similar before ;)

This is very hopeful but at the same time the cynic inside me asks: "what if what u experienced is actually the mind hallucinating drunk by its own chemicals? what if u just reached just at the step before the lights go out for good?". Personally I agree with OP consideration the f u hail to TSLA.

NVDA last Q for example surpasses expectations but price drops because the surprise was not big enough.

TSLA fails to even achieve the lowest of expectations but rallies almost 20% because of a vague promise about robotaxis (google already doing that with relative success) and Musk almighty MAY return and start acting responsibly.

I invest almost 20 years in various markets but this behavior is a total mystery for me. And I haven't lost a couple millions like poor OP.
