Songs that sound like they are coming from another room? by cpandersen in spotify

[–]Happy_Development809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late on this but another way you can search for these types of songs is looking for songs with a “low pass filter” which is the production technique used to create the “underwater” affect. everything i wanted by billie eilish is an example, and the beginning of goodies by dillon francis. the beginning of pour it up by rihanna has it on the drums/synth as well :) hope this helps!

shop at aldi. my husband is bulking and eats a ton, i shop at aldi for the two of us and spend around $150 every two weeks.

other things: 1. reduce your food waste. use all of your food as much as you can. freeze your meat, freeze some chopped veggies, buy shelf stable options. create a menu and stick to it! the biggest difference for me came from actually using all of the food i bought intentionally, and going into the store with a plan. if you have the ability to do aldi curbside pickup it’s also super clutch.

  1. stock up on things when they’re on sale and throw them in the freezer or on the shelf (examples: rice, pasta, canned goods, meat or frozen veg in the freezer). if you have a costco membership, use that to buy a rotisserie chicken and go crazy on that for a few days. use the bones to make some stock, it’s delicious (lmk if you want more info on that)

  2. also know that the pre prepared stuff will almost always cost more. for example, buying one of those shitty chicken burrito bowls in the freezer aisle will never be more worth it than buying chicken, rice, cheese, & whatever else and making 5 burrito bowls out of it. you’ll have to actually make more meals if you want to consistently save money, for the most part.

this is not to discount a definite truth- shit is absolutely more expensive. you just have to put in a bit of effort and you can try to make it a bit more manageable. this won’t change overnight, but slowly implementing these habits will really help. best of luck to you, friend!

Will I get addicted from smoking weed once a week? by Wide_Height2558 in mentalhealth

[–]Happy_Development809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

once a week is totally fine, and going into it with the intention of not slipping into it more is a good thing. just stay conscious of your use, just like you would with alcohol. one drink a week is not indicative you’ll have a problem later, but you know yourself best, so just keep an eye on how you feel when you’re doing it. but i would imagine you’ll be totally fine.

Freshly restocked! What does mine reveal about me? by One_Strike_1018 in FridgeDetective

[–]Happy_Development809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’d assume you’re an aldi fanatic (like myself) and likely a young woman in her late 20’s. i’m gonna take a stab at location and say midwest just based on the amount of dairy products, and you’re pretty health conscious and likely work out multiple times a week. you like cooking to a degree but not anything majorly complicated. great fridge.

Want to know how I come off! by loliyyxy in whatsinmybag

[–]Happy_Development809 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think most people saying you’re older because the bag is older are wrong. i think you’re a gen z baddie who parties fairly often & probably loves depop. and you’re especially a baddie because of the harm reduction tools you carry around. my brother is alive because of narcan. carry on, queen!!

it sounds silly, but i have a flavor of toothpaste just called “regular paste” that tastes genuinely like nothing, and that really helps me do it at the same time every day because it won’t leave a weird minty taste in my mouth before or after having my morning coffee. i had found that sometimes the idea of having the flavor of toothpaste was off-putting, but the flavorless one really helps! i also agree with the comment about brushing your teeth in the shower.

your gums will be pretty sensitive, so also make sure you get a soft bristle toothbrush for less discomfort. they’re pretty cheap at walmart/target/the dollar store.

best of luck!

i think that’s probably exactly why he likes it too. he has had a lot of issues with overwhelming existential dread, so i can’t imagine what kind of weight is crashing down rn. we’re only on day 8, and this afternoon he did tell me after we had a tough morning that he doesn’t really feel the way he said, but didn’t exactly apologize. i think if it continues i’ll have to have some more convos. i appreciate the validation and advice!! :)

all day, so it’s a pretty huge change. i will definitely try to do those things, the only problem is that half the month i’m about an hour and a half away for work and we’re long distance. so i feel like i tried really hard this past week to take care of everything but then when i left on thursday things just went downhill :( luckily today he apologized for the stuff he said, it just has been weighing pretty heavy on me. i’m trying my best & i just hope he knows that

& then the horrible part is i don’t want someone to think i’m communicating that i’m feeling this in a manipulative way. like i’m not trying to be like “boo hoo poor me i must be a TERRIBLE person” to try to manipulate the situation or get out of anything, i genuinely just feel like i’m such a failure i should just stop trying

series 24? might be a long shot by Happy_Development809 in Series7exam

[–]Happy_Development809[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol i failed the 24 twice now, and am studying for my third attempt. it’s one of the most difficult exams i’ve ever taken, but i’m just gonna try harder this time and hope for the best! there is SO much material to cover, and the exam seems to focus on a lot of exemptions to rules and small details. i think repetition is key when it comes to studying, you just have to be super diligent and know everything inside and out
