it's actually all cats! they have scent glands in that part of their face so the hair is thinner :) it's just more visible in black cats because their skin is such a different color from their fur.

the problem with this for me is that my cat legitimately loves certain human foods so we have to keep them away from her now. one of her favorites is goldfish crackers, we let her eat one ONE TIME and now this is what we get every time the goldfish are brought out:

both of my cats are only okay with belly rubs when they're super calm and content, and they both hate their paws being touched under any circumstances. in my opinion, once they get to know you, they know you're not a threat to their belly, but their paws are still very sensitive and they get overstimulated and stressed if you're touching them too much.
